A loss or draw tomorrow at NYCFC officially eliminates Atlanta United from playoff contention. They're also eliminated with a Red Bull New York win/draw at New England Revolution OR a Columbus Crew win at FC Dallas.

Full time. A late push leaves Atlanta empty handed, and the Fire leave with their first MLS win in the Benz. Final score 2-3 as Atlanta lose a tenth home match this year. Away to NYCFC, and potential elimination, coming up Wednesday.

That's a potential result saving clearance from Jonathan Dean, who heads away a cross at the back post where Fafa Picault was crashing. Five minutes of stoppage time added to the end here.

Another yellow to Chicago, this time to Gomez after a needless push to Alonso, who makes an absolute meal of it, and then gets his own yellow in the aftermath. Good job everyone.

Paulo Diaz with a foul at midfield, and he goes into the referee's book. Diaz had a great start to the match, but it's all gotten away from him in this second half.

welp, not tied anymore. Chicago come right back down the pitch and halftime sub Mekvabishvili picks the ball up on a turnover out of the back from Hoyos... and scores. 1-2.

After a halftime where it seemed like they were giving away the entire cost of a Designated Player on behalf of the Georgia Lottery... the second half is UNDERWAY in the Benz!

Halftime whistle goes, a lot of upset fans at the offside decision on Jacob. Level at the break though, one apiece after the early goal from Jacob and response from Chicago. 45 more minutes to break the deadlock.

Galoppo is bowled over in midfield, D'Avilla will see a yellow card as a result. Deep free kick for Atlanta is launched into the box, finds the head of Diaz... but wide.

Amaro does well to put in the final ball across to Embolo on the doorstep... SAVED point blank by Chris Brady who takes all the damage in an... unfortunate place. He's down for a while and the trainers will come out to help.

Crucial block made by Paulo Diaz there as Chicago nearly had an eye for the second on the foot of Haile-Selassie's shot. We remain deadlocked as the Fire push to take the lead after their equalizer.

Nearly a chance for Atlanta to add another, Embolo plays a pass through for Galoppo that's just too far ahead, Miggy on the left side could've been the better option.
