The right to vote is the foundation of our democracy. I was joined by Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson and community leaders in West Michigan for a conversation about protecting voting rights, strengthening our democracy, and making sure every eligible voter can make their voice heard.

On August 18, 1920, the 19th Amendment was ratified, finally granting women the right to vote. Today, we remember the generations of women who fought for the ballot and keep up their fight to make sure every eligible voter can make their voice heard.

West Michigan is a powerhouse for aerospace and defense manufacturing, supporting more than 8,700 jobs across our region. I sat down with local industry leaders to talk about strengthening American manufacturing, supporting small businesses, and building a strong local defense industrial base.
