🌟 “Every child deserves that chance.” Falling behind isn’t inevitable. Every child should be able to access the support they need to thrive, flourish and succeed at school. That can only happen if schools are properly funded.

Rob Pavey's school has lost £1.9 million in real-terms since 2010. Further school cuts would drive our schools closer to an already rapidly-nearing cliff-edge. The Government must listen to the brave leaders sounding the alarm.

“We've cut our budget to the bone.” Claire Wilson is one of the school leaders moving mountains to hold her school together. The Government can’t expect schools to run on goodwill alone. Respect our educators. Restore school funding.

These school leaders are showing the Government the way ♥️ They travelled across the country to represent 250 of their colleagues, delivering a clear message to the Prime Minister. Without restored school funding, their passion cannot continue holding schools together.

“Education has never been more under threat”. The future of our schools is on the line. This educator is right 👇 “Now is the time for us to fight for it”.

This educator has a message for the Chancellor. The Government faces a crossroads at the Autumn Budget: continue down this road to ruin or restore funding to our schools. Their choice will determine the future of a generation.

Last week, we put 16 years of school funding cuts onto custom cards — each featuring a Cabinet minister alongside the figures for their former school — and brought them straight to MPs at the Labour Party Conference. 🎬 Watch and share.

Where would we be without TAs? The encouragers, the explain-again-ers, the people who keep our classrooms running. The funding slashed from school budgets from 2010-2026 is equivalent to 3,396 support staff lost lost. That’s 3,396 support staff who could be changing the lives of students.

“Try a week of teaching with the resources we have and tell me we don’t need it.” Educators and parents can’t keep covering the cost of 16 years of cuts to education 💔 In the leadup to the Autumn Budget, @andyburnham.bsky.social needs to hear what’s happened to our classrooms 👇

The schools that made the Cabinet have lost MILLIONS since 2010. Politicians can’t pull the ladder up for the generation behind them. This month’s Budget is an opportunity for this Government to make right with the schools that made them 👇 www.mirror.co.uk/news/politic...

mirror.co.ukCabinet ministers’ old schools 'have lost millions in funding since 2010'EXCLUSIVE: New analysis shows Cabinet ministers’ old schools have lost millions in funding since 2010 - with urgent calls to reverse cuts impacting the next generation of pupils

£4.5 BILLION is a very long number. That’s how much has been cut from school budgets since 2010. Our takeover outside Liverpool Lime Street Station sent a simple message to every politician arriving for the Labour Party Conference. Restore school funding now. 🚨

Spotted inside the Labour Party Conference 👀 We’re making sure no-one misses the big picture: a whole generation denied properly-funded education. Will this be the Government that stops school cuts? #Lab26

From the classroom to the Cabinet… Our action at the Labour Party Conference this week 👇 We showed MPs the schools that made them - and how much funding they’ve lost. Where would MPs be now if they had grown up in the school cuts generation?

What legacy will the new Government leave for the next generation? 🚸 We sat down with pupils from ‘generation cuts’ to hear about their hopes, their potential, and the opportunities slipping out of reach if school funding isn't restored. 📽️ Watch and share.

We’re with you, Miatta Fahnbulleh MP. On doorsteps and in staffrooms, we hear the same thing: “Our schools are on their knees.” 53 MPs have committed to restoring school funding, will you join them? @miattafahnbulleh.bskysocial

The Institute for Fiscal Studies’ 2026 report offers a stark warning. 📉 Overall education spending close to historic lows 📃Increasing costs of SEND provision ‼️Threats of further real-terms cuts through proposed budget freezes and school closures

Last year, our school budgets lost £300 million. Since 2010, they’ve lost £4.5 billion. Together with this report, these figures paint a grim picture…. We cannot allow this to be the future of education.

Less fun, more risk, fewer practicals: this teacher explains how cuts have impacted science education 👇 In the last year alone, school cuts have deepened by an additional £300 million. What will our classrooms look like if cuts continue at this rate?

📣VICTORY: Government U-turns to fully fund teacher pay this year 🔥 This is the direct result of educators and parents standing up for our schools. We welcome this first step from this Government. Now, they must urgently begin restoring the £4.5 billion cut from school budgets since 2010.

Stop School Cuts reposted

It's crucial the government's ambition for education is matched with the resources schools desperately need.

‘We just simply can’t afford it’. Claire’s story is shared by 74% of schools in the UK: Relentless cuts ➡️ Missing essentials, crammed classrooms, deteriorating working conditions. Educators and pupils deserve so much better.

Teachers shouldn’t have to choose between their own wellbeing and staying in the job they love 💔 Decades of cuts have brought our education system to breaking point. It’s time for the Government to step up, restore lost school funding and properly value our school staff.

‘TAs did more and more and more.’ Class sizes grow and grow, and yet school budgets don’t have room for the most essential support staff. Welcome to the school cuts classroom 💔

“We can’t do this if they’re strangling us”. Year after year, school cuts make one of the most essential jobs in society more and more difficult. Now, one in four teachers leave the profession within the first three years. We must reverse cuts to education.

Bang on from @Michael_Rosen (via our friends at @theartsandmindscampaign) 👇 It’s this simple: restore school funding ➡️ create opportunities for young people ➡️ allow the arts to thrive.

“Schools just can’t keep up…” Across the country, relentless cuts mean impossible choices. These teachers have seen educational essentials eroded by 15 years of school cuts. How much more can our schools lose?

From the Edinburgh Fringe to a BAFTA win for Big Boys — Jack Rooke’s career started at school. 🎭 Now, school cuts are forcing many state schools to shelve creative subjects. If these cuts are not reversed, we’re in danger of losing a generation of talent. Close the arts gap. Restore school funding.

The school cuts generation ♥️ You should be proud of your A-Level results and everything you’ve accomplished. We’re celebrating you the only way we know how: by continuing to work for the school funding you deserved.

Evelyn Welch is right: cuts to arts and humanities are “absolutely tragic.” 🌟 Every child deserves the chance to thrive in the arts, regardless of where they go to school. The Government must restore school funding now.

“We’re being asked to stretch something that’s already at breaking point…” With schools footing at least 1% of this year's pay award, this will mean more cuts to already struggling school budgets Educators are clear: school budgets simply don’t have £460 million to spare 👇️
