I still feel like all the street parties when Biden was declared the winner were just memory wiped. But we could have that again.

🚨 BREAKING: Travis County judge granted Gina Hinojosa's request to inspect Greg Abbott's unredacted Musk emails. Judge Mauzy set Thursday 10 AM as the DEADLINE for Abbott to let her see them. Abbott tried to keep them hidden, calling them "intimate and embarrassing."

In July, an incensed Elon Musk vowed that Grok Imagine would produce a "full-length" and "historically accurate" adaptation of Homer's Odyssey to put Christopher Nolan's woke version to shame. Three months later, we got seven minutes of slop that Grok itself admits is not historically accurate.

All other criticisms aside here, it’s insane because there’s one senate seat they can’t afford to lose the whole party is smearing 500 million people.

Beyond a new rape allegation, the @democrats-judiciary.house.gov report implicates current Attorney General Todd Blanche, stating he "may have engaged in criminal obstruction of justice while acting on a mission to protect Trump," referring to an interview with Ghislaine Maxwell. Seems like news!

The rank bigotry and ignorance, of course, but also it's quite something to see the world's most talentless nepo baby failson saying somebody else isn't accomplished enough

Politico wrote up Zohran playing basketball with the uncovering-a-big-scandal tone the same day the NYTimes wrote up "credible allegation that The President of the United States raped a woman" as a political strategy story. Broken media in a nutshell

i am inviting anyone from a legacy media organization to explain to me why the house judiciary dems report on trump’s epstein’s ties and multiple allegations of rape isn’t worthy of extensively reporting on. i’m serious. i want to understand.

Seeing how little coverage that house report that added another rape accusation to Trump's tally got today, I looked back on just the front page Benghazi stories (there were many, many more inside over these months).

Given the number of foreign policy catastrophes of this administration it's really incredible to scroll through the NYT archives at the staggering number of pieces that were published about Benghazi over the span of Obama's entire 2nd term, as if there was never a bigger White House blunder.

Still amazed by how much he just looks like a clone of his father, this boy from Brazil.

BREAKING WaPo: Brazil's right-wing Flávio Bolsonaro just effectively conceded defeat to the incumbent left-wing president — minutes after Trump indicated he would not intervene on his behalf.

It will be fun if Fine thinks is safe to say this because their papers are in order and it motivates some digging into the circumstances around their immigration.

We’re obviously focused on the humbling of Trump in this election, but don’t sleep on telling Elon Musk there’s something besides love his money can’t buy.

I would love to live in a world where "President faces new rape allegation" isn't treated like a dog bites man story in the major media.

I mean another detailed story about the President being a rapist isn’t like the FBI giving Hillary’s emails another whirl or anything.

I’m not getting too excited about Democratic upsets in the big stretch races because I know no matter how good a night Democrats have there will be media pointing to the narrow losses as proof of a still “divided nation.”

I wonder if Trump never attacks Oliver like the other late night hosts because he thinks it’s a show from England.

I appreciate that Oliver spent his whole show basically testing the Ellisons tolerance for dissent.

Hard to believe “look at the crazy low prices in this old timey newspaper” is now from the Obama era.

NEW: "Donald Trump was an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women during the mid-to-late 1990s," per new House Judiciary Dem report. Report has new allegation that Trump raped a 24-year-old and then promised the victim a visa & NYU admission, demanding she stay quiet.

The piece mentions neither Amazon or Bezos, so as much as there has been some very good reporting under the current regime, they do have their limits. And if people really want to read the whole piece I assume they can find it with the subtle clue that it's in the Washington Post.

bjkeefe@bjkeefe.bsky.social

It's easy to dunk on Bezos, and he deserves all of it, but it's worth pointing out that the reporters who have managed to keep their jobs continue to do solid work. Also, @schooley.bsky.social should supply links. Screenshots-only is dishonest. Here is a gift link: wapo.st/3W3WdYo
