That performance yesterday. Moyes had a full strength squad to pick from. No major injuries. A meek surrender like we have seen so many times before, think the derby last season at Bramley Moore. Negative against a Chelsea side that had previously failed to keep a clean sheet. Get Howe in

Martinez went off injured and there was about 25 minimum to play. Same as the derby last season when the Liverpool GK went off injured. We didn’t lay a glove on Chelsea just as we didn’t against Liverpool. Moyes just doesn’t learn or adapt to situations.

Thoughts on this. Talk of Burnham putting a tariff on Chinese imports. Personally think the build quality looks suspect despite the style and price point. Also seen a couple of Jaecoo’s a couple of years old that look generally tatty around the edges.

£9 billion revenue in the game but 94% of clubs run at a loss. 3/4 Clubs depend on the owner to stay afloat. 1/4 of clubs insolvent within 30 days if owner walked away. Football is the perfect model of ultra capitalism.

So TFG put Everton up for sale for circa £800m, flipping the asset and doubling their investment, smart business. The say everything is about timing and this happens just as Usmanov’s assets are being unfrozen. Why has Moshiri remained involved? Do businessmen walk away after investing so much??

This country’s fucked up. Just seen on the news that two bizzies pepper sprayed and tasered a 92y old man who was an amputee in a care home because he was confused and brandishing a cutlery knife 😡

As an Everton fan in my early 50s it is unlikely that I will ever see us win the league again. The same could be said for about 75% of the teams in the premier league and 100% for those lower down the football pyramid. The question is - is football worth it anymore?
