Oh no 😭 One of the last members of the USS Enterprise has left. RIP Walter Marvin Koenig (1936-2026) Star Trek, Babylon 5, Moontrap, The Starlost, The Questor Tapes, Futurama... What a career in sci-fi. I will miss Pavel Chekov. Again 😞

My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.

In 1983, Syd Mead was commissioned by the World Sports Fair in Tokyo to create 3 paintings depicting the future of sporting competition. The works represent the 3 colors of the fair's prize winning ribbons: Gold for Running of the Six DRGXX, Blue for Race Ball, and Red for Tokyo Bay Boat Race.
