Teaser: "Akira suspected that this was precisely where his ability lay: Zuka was (...) a strategist. And he used this talent to murder people and make every crime look like a tragic accident. He had to be stopped. But how do you defeat someone whose next move is always perfectly planned?"

Teaser: "I’m a wall, I tell myself, a wall and a goldfish. I stand in the goal circle and wait for the game in front of me to come back together. A wall, because nothing is allowed to get past me. And a goldfish, because I have to forget what happened a second ago (...)."

🧬 New #ScienceandFiction short story 🧬 This time, Zsófia Meggyesi writes about how life came to be, using a poetry slam format. 🇬🇧 scienceandfiction.net/stories/40_g... 🇩🇪 scienceandfiction.net/de/stories/4...

Teaser: Silence. Then – the first day. All of it determined by the Big Bang itself Images, sounds, shattering cold, glittering light scattered across space, empty like only perfect emptiness can be. And then — dust. The first particles, tiny bits of consciousness barely worthy of the word life.

Zsófia Meggyesi studied physics in Munich, where she is now conducting her research as a doctoral candidate. She focuses on molecular evolution, or, to put it simply, how life came to be on earth. In addition to her scientific career, she enjoys trying her hand at creative writing.

Just enough time to read last month's short story before the next one comes out 😁 April's story will be a different format that's never been on the blog so far! 😱
