Our ticket system will be out of action, meaning you cannot raise support tickets via the web interface. You can still email us at the usual addresses but our options to respond will be limited, so you may be waiting longer for a reply - thank you for bearing with us if you send any queries our way!

Scotiacon has grown so much since we moved to the Crowne Plaza in 2022 and we have even bigger plans ahead of us! So we need to make sure that our Con Ops team is ready to cope with more attendees, spread over more and bigger venues. That's why we're opening for new Con Ops crew members.

Hello everybody! The Creative team have an opening for an artist to join the team ahead of Scotiacon 2027. We're looking for a driven artist with a focus on graphic design, signage, and smaller assets. If that sounds like something that might suit you, read on to find out more!

If you are interested, send an email to the address below with your portfolio and tell us why you'd be interested in joining the team. Logos, signage, modular assets, and typography are all examples of work we would love to see from you! Applications close on October 23rd.

Hi folks! Now that event and DJ set submissions have closed, we wanted to give everyone who sent us a proposal an idea of what happens next. First of all, thank you! Weโ€™ve had a fantastic response and weโ€™re really looking forward to seeing what we can bring together for next yearโ€™s programme.

Everyone who sent a pitch via our events system will receive an email letting them know the outcome. Weโ€™re aiming to have all the outcomes delivered by December and sooner if we can, although weโ€™ll keep you updated if that changes. As always, weโ€™ll try to accommodate as many of your ideas as we can.

Proposals are now locked and can no longer be edited. If you need to correct or change anything in your submission, please email the Events Team at the address below and weโ€™ll help you update it. Thanks again to everyone who submitted something for Massive in the Metropolis - weโ€™ll be in touch!

Hi Folks! As Scotiacon continues to grow our team needs to keep pace to make sure we deliver a great experience to our attendees. One of the important ways in which we interact with attendees is through our Con Ops team and we're looking to recruit a new deputy to help keep things running smoothly.

This role will help to organise the team, as well as helping to resolve attendee queries onsite in Glasgow, while also serving as a point of escalation. Do you have customer service experience? Are you a natural problem solver? Can you keep calm under pressure? We'd like to hear from you!

Your work could be used in our conbook or even around our venue. Remember, all work must be your own creation. Our submission guidelines are in the images below and you've got until December 1st to send us your creations. Help us to make our biggest event ever also our best looking!

Hi friends! We believe that music has the power to unite us and that the way it is used matters. This is never more true than in our community where we value inclusivity and enjoy going crazy on the dance floor. What we choose to listen and dance to says a lot about who we are, in so many ways.

As we said, how music is used matters, so we've taken the decision that, from now on, we will remove The Proclaimers from all our convention playlists and, while we are not vetting anybody's playlists, we are asking our DJs not to play any tracks from the band at Scotiacon as well.

One of the tracks we've enjoyed dancing to at Scotiacon over the past few years has been "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" by The Proclaimers, so we were disappointed to see the recent comments made by the band about the transgender community and we've heard that disappointment reflected by many of you.

Hey folks! A quick registration update - we are up to date on processing registrations! This means that any new registrations should be processed within 48 hours of receipt. If you've been waited longer than this, drop our Reg team a message at the address below and they'll look into it for you.

Hi folks! We're grateful to the attendees that pitch events to be considered for our schedule each year and help to make Scotiacon the fantastic celebration of our community that it is. We wanted to let you know that we'll open for event & DJ set proposals for our 2027 con on September 1st at 7pm.

Stuck for inspiration? Take a look at these pieces from the range that have already been sent our way! Many thanks to Astey, GiraffeDJ, Charu, Storm, Rukkusracc and Turtle Pixelott for creating these amazing artworks! Check the alt text of each image for their socials! Which is your favourite?

Check out this amazing art by @storm.vtube.social for our 2027 theme! Want to share some art for our conbook or for use around our venue? We are still open for art submissions here: forms.scotiacon.org.uk/s/d9aizou717... Don't worry, once we get Wallace his evening Irn Bru he'll calm right down!

A piece I've been slowly working on for @scotiacon.bsky.social 2027!! So stoked for the con and had a blast working on this! Better be prepared, lest the giant beast Wallace crushes you underfoot! #scotiacon #furryart #furry
