Scott from NJ

In advance of today’s #NJDevils game, I had a premonition. With apologies to the 29 crew members and Gordon Lightfoot.

Leave it to my 19-year-old son to tease me with this “Breaking News” #njdevils

Just an observation … all of these goals were on speed and stick handling and none on deflections. Keefe always seems to rely on a methodical setup in the zone and then getting a deflection (which rarely works). I’m confused. #NJDevils

Glad to see the win (as meaningless as it may be), but I think we may need to sharpen Jack’s skates. #NJDevils

@thehockeyguy.bsky.social is gonna need a whole whiteboard dedicated just to the TB-BUF game tonight, even with the abbreviated format.

#NJDevils fans were blessed with possibly the best NHL announcer team in the last game, courtesy of TNT, and tonight the pendulum swings to the other extreme and we get Steve Levy 🤮

What’s that song after Glass’s goal— “I’m the Glass Man”? Never heard it. I always thought he should get an angelic Debbie Harry chant of “Oooh oooh, oh oh”.

STOP ICE IN ROSELAND

Is it time for #NJDevils fans to chant “sell the team” yet? Roster is talented but the management sucks. Arena is falling apart, soft ice, food is an embarrassment. And let’s not forget that games hasn’t been televised on NJ’s largest cable TV provider since 2021, and not a peep from the team.

@rogersherman.com This you? Just wondering….

Well this is a disappointing bait-and-switch this morning…. #NJDevils

There’s a new La Greca-ism: “Centering pass to the wall”

So the #NJDevils scored. I still predict they lose, and do so by giving up 9 shots in the whole game.

So of anyone who’s available, who should be coaching the #NJDevils right now?

This game is on pace to finish with the Blue Jackets with 12 shots on goal and the Devils with 6. 🥱

Aside from the many WTFs about the #NJDevils play, I’ve gotta ask WTF is this? (I’m happy for Ullmark though, if we weren’t the opponent I’d be rooting for him)

I don’t even know what is true or satire anymore, but this is entirely believable this season. #NJDevils

The Devils really needs to string together some more home wins. Bruce deserves those “Glory Days” royalties. #NJDevils

The irony of seeing Jack Hughes’s mug on the digital dasherboards next to the name of a hospital and the words “Get Checked” is not lost on me.

Markstrom sporting over a .900 SV% in the game right now. I hate to jinx things, but we know what that means is about to happen…. #NJDevils

First shot against, first goal against. I’ve seen this many, many times. #NJDevils

Every. Fucking. Time. #NJDevils

So if Ondrej Palat is traded, will Dawson Mercer switch back down to jersey number 18? 🤔 #NJDevils

Jacques Lemaire chewing gum, as always. Can we bring him back? #NJDevils

CCM should bring back that old helmet shell design. To me, it’s so iconic.

CNN airs compilation of federal agents acting with extreme aggression towards peaceful observers.

When Markstrom was carrying above an .850 sv%, you knew he was about to give up one (or two)

If I watch the #NJDevils game on Gotham, can I do away with the incessant MSGSN program alert at the bottom of the screen telling me how to watch the Islanders game? That may be Gotham’s only redeeming feature.

It looks Iike the ice really sucks at Pru Center tonight. The puck isn’t moving… it just dies, no one can stick handle and so many pass attempts coming up short. I don’t see puddles on there on my TV, but I’ve gotta believe they’re there.

It's a video on the Devils to start things off today. youtu.be/F9DGjQNe9jY

When you start looking at the team schedule to see if there’s time to make a coaching change before the next game…..

How has Markstrom not been pulled? How has Keefe or Fitz not been pulled?

Did someone forget to clean off the notes taped to the glass behind the visitor’s bench following yesterday’s game? #NJDevils

Be better, Devils fans.

#NJDevils

What’s the deal with the corner of the ice to Shesterkin’s left in the 3rd period? It looked ridiculously dark with a bright (virtual?) Jersey Mike’s ad. Now after the break it looks normal again.

Will the NHL ever realize that virtual board ads don’t work in outdoor games? The lighting is different outdoors and there are shadows. The boards look bright and backlit. #WinterClassic

This pregame is so bad, that an 10-0 shutout by the Panthers would be captivating by comparison. (And also predictable) #WinterClassic

Attn: Don LG: what’s a “sharp-angle pass”?

Nice touch, MSG.
