Buttiigieg: "Look, when you are this deep into your second year, if your reflex is to still be trying to blame the previous administration, it really shows that you are out of ideas, out of solutions, and unwilling to take ownership of your own choices."

A pen and ink drawing that I did today. I write and illustrate a #webcomic series called SEA SHANTY FUNNIES featuring #Popeye that is a public domain-based comic that respectfully pays homage in a retro alternate universe. I invite you to check out my series at seashantyfunnies.com. #art #comics

It’s been a while since I’ve carved out time to work on my stamp collection. I’ve been so busy lately. However, I’m taking some tonight and I’m going to try to make Sunday evenings my own time to do this on a more regular basis. And doing so while spinning vinyl records while I do it. #philately

Green Arrow's chilli was a great success! Food photos on the Internet usually look bad, so trust me when I say it tasted great. Thank you to Oliver Queen & @scottmccullar.bsky.social.

Today, @jennylmorris.bsly.social is making Green Arrow's chilli (recipe by @scottmccullar.bsky.social). She's following the updated recipe from Scott's blog, with a few minor substitutions for ingredients not easily available in the UK. www.scottmccullar.com/2019/10/upda...

"I'm ready for my close up, Mr. McCullar." On the THRILL SEEKER COMICS homefront... Sneak peek from last week. Digital inks of my comic book characters Ms. Tittenhurst and Yellow Jacket: Man of Mystery. Finishing up a last minute addition this past week to add another bonus short story.

Got outside my comfort zone today and joined other like-minded Americans in public to peacefully express my First Amendment rights to stand up for democracy and stand against an authoritarian president here in Springfield, Illinois at our state capitol. I felt this was important. #nokings

America was founded on the basic protection against unlawful imprisonment. Due process is a fundamental right in our constitution. Denying it or defending those who deny it is unamerican and illegal.

Van Hollen: "This case is not only about one man, as important as that is. It is about protecting fundamental freedoms and the fundamental principle in the Constitution for due process that protects everyone who resides in America."

RFK Jr.’s lies about autism are disgraceful — and I won't share them to spread misinformation. He consistently undermines public health and reinforces dangerous myths. In Illinois, we stand with those with autism, and I’ll keep fighting for inclusion, science, and the truth.

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.

I see it. I have lived it. 83 years ago, the U.S. government turned upon a group of its own citizens and residents and sent them to internment camps without due process. I was there among them. American fascism is back. It is here. It is now.

If your plan is to keep your head down and hope it goes away, I can show you all of human history why it won’t work. If it’s to capitulate and hope they ignore you, I can show you thousands of Trumpers who’ve already lost their jobs & savings. Fighting back isn’t an option. It’s the only option.

Cleaning and performing some maintenance on my Cerwin-Vega 200 SE speakers. I re-coned them 9 years ago to give them new life. I’ve owned these for 37 years since I was a teenager. Funny. It struck me that they’ve been with me longer than my two marriages and all my relationships combined.
