#TheSalvagersPlague #writing woot! managed to crank out a new chapter in just two days of writing. going to go back over it tomorrow because I know there are some parts that could stand some polish, but its still an accomplishment. I'm now 6 chapters ahead of schedule!

When you make the conscious choice to underfund a system like Healthcare, especially while you overspend on programs like military, corporate tax breaks/bailouts/subsidies, or hotly contested projects (hello Ford and your Therme Spa) You are choosing to kill your constituents for money!

ppl on Welfare/disability as lazy scammers, or rape survivors as liars telling stories because they regret having sex with someone... You can maintain skepticism while still showing compassion. Be Human, be kind, love your fellow beings.

#TheSalvagersPlague Currently righting a scene where Thomas and Boudya are talking about different species design quirks after one of those quirks causes a safety hazard... and it has me thinking about bathroom issues on interstellar ships. Like, so much of humanity uses toilet paper...

Which is kind of a bother in such circumstances, especially if you don't have star-trek type replicators. Even with the parts of humanity that use a bidet...water is a fairly controlled resource in most scifi interstellar ships. RL astronauts use wet wipes. again, a resource issue.

So how would you manage such personal hygiene needs in such a situation. I've seen some scifi use sonic showers instead of water showers in space environments to save on water recycling costs...would that be the way? a sonic bidet?

Yup. testing out throwing "merde" and "zut" into Thomas' dialog, and I like the feel of it. Definitely gonna have to go back and add some more quebecois turns of phrase into earlier chapters. It'll add more colour.
