Little truck appearing in the Little Plane book is the cameo of the century for my ~3 year old.

Me eating brisket and ribs alone while my wife is outside the restaurant wrangling the children. Solid fathers day.

The fact that Planes is Pixar's worst movie (even my 2.5 year old was meh) is well known. But my question is this. There is a scene where manure is referred to (as fertilizer). In this Transformersesque world of cars and planes where every living thing is a machine, WHERE IS THE SHIT COMING FROM.

My latest Home Assistant absurdity is for my laundry. They're plugged into zigbee power monitors and added door contact sensors. When the power spikes its state is changed to on, shows green. When the power stops it's yellow until the door opens, with accompanying phone unload machine notifications.

The town of Pontypandy is extremely pork barrelled by corrupt politicians, particularly in the emergency services space. And very clearly has a pyromaniac within the upper ranks of their fire department. They really should be investigated.

The urge I get to retrieve the hot cross bun stuck in the toaster out with a knife is so strong that I'm beginning to wonder if my subconscious is trying to kill me.

I Still don't really have any idea what's going to happen to my daughter's Google account on the 10th. It's all setup with restrictions and allowlists for youtube and has a Google TV profile. Will be interesting and annoying.

Turning my old ITX PC into a rack mountable NAS. Straight onto a rack shelf because a shallow depth (-350mm) server case is either far too expensive or impossible to find. Kinda more fun this way anyway. Next steps are finding some 3D print solution that can hold 2 x 3.5mm HDDs and a GPU.

My 10 year old QNAP NAS with a dual core 2.4ghz Celeron is running Overseerr, Sonarr, Radarr, Plex, Mosquito, Matter, Home Assistant, Frigate recording 2 cameras and a Minecraft server. Pretty impressive really. Current drives in there are 6 years old and just waiting for the day that one fails.

It's both not surprising in the slightest but also still a little bit surprising how quickly big corporations line up to kiss the ring.

Nothing quite upends a household like gastroenteritis. This has been one of the more horrible weeks in recent memory and I didn't even catch it (yet).

Bought one of those matte finish picture frame TVs for the bedroom. First time I've mounted a TV at home. Mostly because it's a lot of effort to do it properly. This one particularly because it sits flush against the wall with a very small area for cable management. Very happy with the result.

Shihad at the Corner last night were great. Just barely managed to snap this pic when he emerged from behind the notorious Corner Hotel pole. Also every 7 foot bloke in Melbourne was there last night.
