Not the 1st time that a non-peer reviewed (here not even published) piece of research from a German university, often authored by people from other fields, is reported by the media as decisive evidence against EVs Not sure this is how the research-media interface should work

Over the next months, the EU will decide whether to water down car emission regulations, which currently prescribe the sale of zero-emission vehicles only from 2035 Predictably, the regulation is coming under attack from various political and media actors in Germany. A THREAD

€). Ein krasses Mißverhältnis. (3/3)

Incredible chart from @propublica.org. If you don’t follow enviro stuff closely, your instinct might be that the hold-your-nose solution (carbon capture from fossil fuels) would be the “pragmatic” one versus covering Earth in solar panels, which seems utopian. In fact it’s the opposite

Smart meters are key: they give insight to consumers and the system: where can I save, what can I be flexible with, how is the local grid doing? The 'Axis of Analogue' - in red and orange - cuts right across Europe. This is where the technology - and therefore the benefits - are not yet available.

The story of "The three little pigs" has to be rewritten ... Yeah! 🐖🐖🐖

This lovely EcoCocon straw panel home is going into manufacture soon, and will be heading to West Wales next month 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 High performance, low impact construction

Two things we keep getting consistently wrong: 1️⃣ Vastly overestimating future coal demand 2️⃣ Massively underestimating future generation of solar PV Love these graphics from RethinkX.

You are up to date.
