How cold inside does it need to get before I turn the heaters on. So far we’ve hit 64 and no signs yet, just lots of slippers and blankets and cardigans.

And it’s just me constantly dunking on myself like “why can’t I stop dating the same person in different fonts?” asked the girl who is freely choosing to do so.

One thing about polyamory that's fun is that you eventually notice that you have types and sometimes you don't realize it. But apparently "Women who take pictures" is one of my types? Especially birds.

The Bryan Johnson one is hilarious but being that I drive in Seattle regularly I need to reduce the chances a driver gets distracted and merges directly into my car, as they are want to do. Or if I make it far enough out of the city the chance that they shoot me in a fit of rage.

Every sandbox moves the kernel boundary somewhere. gVisor intercepts syscalls with a userspace kernel. Kata wraps pods in microVMs. Edera gives each workload its own kernel behind a hypervisor. Agent Sandbox is the API on top. Join us Oct 29, 12pm ET with @alex.zenla.io

Like, I dunno, I just wanted the advent of gitops to turn into “we have one source of truth for configs and it’s the git repo” not “here’s a for loop that creates 100 subtly different configs none of which get saved to the repo good luck troubleshooting idiot”

This was what I liked hcl for not that I’ve really gotten used it much over the past like 5 years since moving into k8s land, though I do get to use it more now, but that has its own problems. Crossplane is my new gitops drug of choice that I’m sure I’ll flame out on soon enough but we’ll see.

I thought the roadster thing was a joke. Why isn’t it a joke. Can someone make it a joke please I don’t know if I can handle there being people that take this seriously.

Wow the psychologist said the same thing everyone else says when they meet me “Based on what you’ve said I’m pretty sure you meet the diagnosis criteria for ADHD”

Working for small business owners is like trying to babysit a toddler with guns for hands and forks for feet and they’re walking on a floor made of electrical sockets

Turns out the friction of having to learn photoshop was a crucial firewall protecting society from the terrible taste of small business owners

Now in public beta, Claude Platform can send OpenTelemetry traces from the Messages API, Claude Managed Agents, and the Claude SDKs to your observability stack.

Mine would be a constant stream of “XYZ tech” to try and figure out what random acronym I’ve just heard stands for because I can’t remember any of them to save my life.

Looks at what i would have to do to hand write a way to get table printer data from go to rust … Ok maybe I’ll just use Claude i guess ugh

I think it would be pretty great if it was illegal to host csam images, and that people would be embarrassed to be on a platform that hosted them.

It’s been so long since I had fun building things and fun building things with other people I kind of forgot what it was like to have both. I’ve generally always liked the people I’ve worked with, but now I get to like the work too 😊

I can’t find it but I read someone’s analysis of one of the recent problems and it was “the model used something from a different field and applied it here.” Not “novel” but definitely not invaluable. Valuable enough? Who knows.

At this point I think it's pretty clear to me that the niche of LLMs is essentially search In other words, they can tell you what's been done but they can't really tell you what will be done or what to do. I mean, you can roll the dice with them like clicking "I'm feeling lucky" (also like search)

I think we’re on like step 2 of 50 (having a machine learn, now figuring out how to do language modeling) of having anything even close to general AI, I think it’s useful, as long as you have strong guardrails, which we super do not right now everything is tantamount to asking nicely.

I’m at a roller rink and I think I’ve heard like 3 songs that would have been played the last time I went. They played panic at the disco like it was oldies :(

Not in a “don’t abuse the sentient being” way, in a “don’t be fucking weird” way. In a “don’t be the child ripping the wings off of flies” way.

So desperately trying to get meta APIs to output protos for table printers so I can simply import them into my rust kubectl rewrite and this is trying my patience.
