The run itself was enjoyably, perfectly miserable. A wind that constantly managed to be in my face there and back. A prom littered with storm debris. Horizontal rain for maximum nipple chaffage. I even stopped at 9.7km to ensure a high endurance without achievement ratio. Definitely goth shit.

Hoping for relegation in the desire to rid United of the incompetents and freebooters in charge 8s all I've got left. Letting Wilcox et al choose the next manager should do the trick.

Watching the BBC War and Peace series and working out my duelling strategy. Shoot first then throw a few zig zags in seems wisest. Those flintlocks must be unwieldy against a moving target.

My new favourite random Instagram reels are tarot readings. "But how can I pick the card?" I hear you ask. Well, she shuffles the deck badly and the card(s) that fly off are the ones. Foolproof methodology.

I once read about study where they offered lab rat's a choice of unlimited cheesecake or every other type of food and the rat's chose to gorge themselves to death on cheesecake. Totally on the rat side of that debate.

Kind of obsessed with IG safari videos. Mostly about when the lions will finally stop the eternal war against hyenas, honey badgers and leopards and team up to claim some of that sweet, sweet, tinned tourist meat that follows every move they make.

Ever had that experience when someone, out of the blue, apropos of nothing, says something weirdly comforting or pertinent about a source of anxiety? Like a purposeful non sequitur? Happened yesterday, not for the first time. The world is full of random chit chat that is, very occasionally, helpful.

Finished S3 of Silo and my rewatch of A Gentleman in Moscow. I enyoyed both, they're kind of similar in essentials. AGIM is the superior show in its visual and emotional beauty. It's redemptive humanity exists without histrionics or hope. It doesn't need either. Plain, simple humanity is enough.

It's constructivist titles, beautiful, and the shattered hopes they represent. The immaculate manners, the constant betrayals. Humanity hiding amongst the inhumanity.

If anything exemplifies the descent into barbarism more than live streamed executions you'll only have to wait a week or two to find it.

Just done a Vintage Cash Cow. One the one hand I'll get a fraction of the notional value, OTOH the post office is 100 yards away and the tip is 3 miles distant. Winning at life!!!

This is the most remarkable story Ray Bradbury ever shared with me. He told it to me late one night, sitting in his den of antiquities and mementos. Take five minutes to read this. It’s pure magic. #Writing #Living #Creativity #RayBradbury #BookSky

Starting S3 of Silo and after 2 series, 20 episodes, I'm still strangely ambivalent about it. It's good, no doubt and exactly the sort of show I like. But is it good good? Do I really care for, or root for the characters? Still, here I am.

It's all very familiar for United fans. It's not systems, tactics, incompetence or all of that guff. It's that players seem to down tools on managers so regularly.

Thing I don't understand is Ratcliffe sacked all the time saved backroom staff but still hasn't got round to whoever puts Mogadon in the pre-match tea.
