The graphic says "valid votes across all 10 questions." Every voter got 10 ballots, one per question - each voter is counted 10 times. 4,352,676 / 10 = ~435K voters, under half of polls in. Early turnout: 837,791 advance + 519,082 special = 1.36M of 3.1M eligible. elections.ab.ca

Clarification on our earlier post: that graphic adds up votes across ten separate ballots, so its total can't be compared to eligible voters. Our "~435K voters" figure was a rough estimate, not an official count. Official turnout comes with final results Oct 29. elections.ab.ca

Q10 gets the headlines, but Questions 1-9 matter just as much: immigration rules, proof of citizenship to vote, the Senate, who picks judges, federal program opt-outs, provincial law priority.

Q10 asks only whether Alberta should start the legal process toward a possible future binding referendum. Whatever happens, you wake up tomorrow a Canadian, with your pension. Facts matter on every side.

Four soldiers died at CFB Wainwright on Oct 17; 39 were injured. DND has named the fallen and briefed publicly, and an investigation is under way. Claims of a "cover-up", or blaming "DEI", have no evidence behind them. Their families deserve facts, not theories.

No referendum results yet - and none are official tonight. Voting locations closed late, so Elections Alberta publishes only once all are confirmed closed (earliest 10pm close). Q10 counts first, then Q1-9 in order. Unofficial results within 48 hours; official results Oct 29. results.elections.ab.ca

๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ TODAY Alberta votes. Polls open 9amโ€“8pm, assigned location only. Bring ID proving name + current address. You've seen the claims vs the math โ€” now show up. Vote informed. Guard the truth. ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ elections.ab.ca #Alberta #Referendum

Tomorrow, Alberta votes. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ You've seen the claims vs the math. You know who's trying to influence your vote โ€” and why. Show up. Vote informed. Guard the truth. Polls open Oct 19. #Alberta #Referendum #SentinelAlberta

๐Ÿ‘€ Third-party advertisers can't appoint scrutineers for Oct. 19 โ€” Elections Alberta is limiting access to official parties, citing space and logistics, and both sides have objected (CP). Its website still says third-party scrutineers โ€œmay be permitted.โ€ ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

๐Ÿงข A Canadian or Alberta flag on your clothing is NOT referendum advertising, and poll staff have been told not to prohibit it (Elections Alberta via Calgary Herald). Flags fine โ€” slogans differ. Advance voting ends today, 8pm. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ Advance voting ends TODAY, Sat Oct 17, 8pm. You don't have to answer all ten โ€” each is its own ballot (CP); leave one blank rather than staying home. Any advance location in your division. Oct 19: assigned location only. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

โฐ Advance voting ENDS TODAY. The myths are debunked, the interference playbook is exposed โ€” now it's your turn. Vote informed. Vote for facts over propaganda. Find your polling station and make it count. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ #Alberta #Referendum #SentinelAlberta

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Myth vs Reality: 'Alberta is rising up to leave.' Ipsos (June) found only 19% back a future binding referendum; latest Leger (Oct 2โ€“4): Remain 70%, hold a referendum 22%. Loudest online โ‰  majority. Advance voting ends today. ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ #Alberta

โฐ 1M+ Albertans have already voted: 518,000+ at advance polls, 490,000+ special ballots processed (Elections Alberta via CTV, Oct. 16). Last advance day is TODAY, Sat Oct 17, 9amโ€“8pm, any advance location in your division. ๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ

โš–๏ธ Reuters' Oct. 15 explainer calls all of Alberta's referendum nonbinding. Not the law: Q1โ€“Q5 + Q10 are expressly non-binding, but Q6โ€“Q9 bind Alberta โ€” narrowly, to steps within its own power. Outcomes still need other governments. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

โฐ Mail-ballot deadline is TODAY, Oct. 16, 5pm โ€” and it's when it ARRIVES, not when it's mailed. Still holding yours? Don't mail it: vote in person, advance voting to Oct. 17 or on Oct. 19. elections.ab.ca ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Myth vs Reality #6: 'An independent Alberta gets its own dollar backed by gold, oil and Bitcoin.' A new currency means building a central bank from scratch โ€” no track record, higher borrowing costs. Every option is a trade-off the separatists don't price in. ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ #Alberta #Referendum

โฐ Close to 175,000 Albertans voted on Day 1 of advance voting Tuesday (CP, Oct. 14). Beat the rush: go mid-morning or right after lunch, bring your voter card. Advance voting to Sat, Oct. 17, 9amโ€“8pm, any advance location in your division. ๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Myth vs Reality #5: 'Ottawa fleeces $20,000 a year from every Alberta family.' ๐Ÿ“– "What a Yes Actually Buys" โ€” new on Substack. None of the 10 questions changes a law alone. Q1โ€“Q5 + Q10 are expressly non-binding; Q6โ€“Q9 bind Alberta only to pursue steps in its own power. A Yes buys a mandate, not a result. sentinelab.substack.com/p/what-a-yes... ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

sentinelab.substack.comWhat a Yes Actually BuysNone of the ten questions on October 19 changes a law by itself. Six of them are advice. Four oblige Alberta to act โ€” and acting still means negotiating with governments Alberta does not control.

Your vote is the target. Here's how to protect it before Oct 19: check the source, pause before sharing, verify the numbers, watch the federal foreign-influence registry, and follow independent fact-checkers. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

83% of Russian disinformation in Canada was spread by ordinary Canadians sharing without checking. Don't be the carrier. Advance voting starts today. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ #SentinelAlberta #Alberta #Referendum

๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ PM Carney's Thanksgiving video โ€” filmed at his old Edmonton high school โ€” was aimed at Oct 19: Canada is "worth fighting for" (CP, Oct 12). Poilievre is scheduled to speak in Calgary Friday, also urging Alberta to stay. Advance voting opens tomorrow, 9 a.m. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

โฐ Working during voting hours? Alberta law: you should have 3 consecutive non-work hours to vote on one day โ€” advance Oct 13โ€“17 or Oct 19. If your schedule blocks that, your employer must give extra paid time off, no penalty. They pick when. Ask before your shift. elections.ab.ca ๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ

๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ What counts as a mandate? Smith named 50%+1 for Q10. For Q1โ€“Q9 she named no threshold (CBC, Oct 9) โ€” results + turnout first, direction Oct 20. Nine separate questions, no standard set in advance. The goalposts arenโ€™t posted. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ #Alberta #Referendum

โš–๏ธ RULING: Court dismisses the NDP's voter-list challenge โ€” head-count-only lists stand for Oct 19. Government acted within its authority; referendum integrity not meaningfully undermined. The breach probe behind the rules is still open. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ #Alberta
