Thought it's about time I made a post to pin, so: Hi, I'm Seraph (real name Chris) and I post gay stuff, a lot of oversharing about my mental health, poetry and whatever seems amusing to me at the time. Follow me for writing, compassion, humour and raw honesty. See the replies for my content.

Took my daughter to the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth for our half-term outing and so, of course, I took lots of pictures of this sassy diva!

It obviously thought that a front view was it's best side because everytime I raised my phone after that it would turn to face it. I was trying to get a nice full profile!

I have had the laziest, most procrastinationy day so far and, since I'm working on not getting guilty, it's been pretty great actually... But I do have things to do, so...

It's been a weird evening. I had a nap too hide from my own fear, then eventually had dinner and watched the end of Stranger Things 4. Even gameda tiny bit, but the whole time in feeling shaky and fragile. It's almost funny how a little pain (that didn't even last long) can mess me up so much!

Well damn, I got hit with the same sharp chest pains on the left side that sent me to the GP at the start of the summer and got me put back on Sertraline and now I don't know what to do except want to cry because they are fucking terrifying!

Add "for Tax Purposes" to a movie: We workshopped this a bit over lunch. My personal favourites: The Devil Wears Prada for Tax Purposes And, tying into the confusion and uncertainty about exactly to which the title refers: Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (for Tax Purposes).

JKKK Rowling documentary? From the famously impartial BBC? I'd say "no, thank you", but actually, fuck aaaaaaaaall the way off!

Set an early alarm so I could work on Open Table stuff before work... fell asleep almost immediately after it went off and woke up naturally in time to get ready for work...

Well, I put the power point together, mostly by reusing last year's, and I know vaguely what I'm gonna talk about, but I didn't manage much more than that tonight. And even then I needed to play some Galactic Racer to feel human - only I had an appalling run full of crashes. Oh well.

I have an Open Table service to put together from, basically, scratch and so far this evening I've had an escape nap and some procrastination mobile gaming and scrolling. I *must* start working on this soon, cos it's not like I can do much work on it tomorrow as I'm working *again*! 😭

Oh yeah, I need to tidy my room at least a bit before I can dry up my little desk and laptop anyway. Self-sabotage or just the usual ADHD ~laziness~ chaos.

Thanks to my college course, this *feels* like the 7th day of work in a row (although it's *only* the 6th) and my next day off without college is Wednesday, I think. *screams into the void a little, as a treat* Anyway, I signed up for this and also left it this late so I am my own worst enemy.

It was great to see @jackshoulder.bsky.social and a few other grammar faces this evening at the Hotties in Art event. Some great questions and answers and a really warm presence from Jack. I had to flee anxiously not long after getting my book, and feel a little silly but it was worthwhile.

Just saw a sign that read 'Jesus over every thing', but despite it's graffiti styling and placement, it was clearly AI. The typeface and curved underline were instantly recognisable. Seemed ironic.

They aren't coming. I've been gaslit by my own managers! 😭😤😂

Work is quiet today, but mildly stressful as we're expecting a leadership visit *at an unspecified time*. But after work I'm off to Bristol to see @jackshoulder.bsky.social talk about his new book (and pick up my copy) and I'm very excited!

Paperback due to be released early next week

Surprise! 😍😍😍 It's out! 🎉🎉🎉 You can find my short story, Knightfall, in Cloaked Press's Fall Into Fantasy 2026! It's about a barbarian on a quest to kill a monster who gets sidetracked into telling a tale about love. (Paperback coming soon) amzn.eu/d/03P70XmA

Anxious in work again, yay! On the plus side, though, homegroup were very supportive of my decision to step back from Open Table a bit and there was even a volunteer to lead in my place next month! Definitely a weight off.

Galactic Racer is even better than I imagined it would be. So exhilarating! And the Roguelite elements makes it much more interesting than just a racing game. It was worth throwing my various work-earned vouchers at. But now I should go to bed...

So, today I made a decision to step back from some stuff for a while because my mental health has not been at its best, and I feel pretty crappy about it, cos they are things I care about and one, at least, will have a question mark over it if I'm not doing up front stuff, but it is what it is. 😢

Ahh, unlucky mate. Turns out trans healthcare is still the scientifically and morally correct thing to do. I assume you'll be apologising now? Not sure why you thought the last 5 years would be different to the nearly 100 before that but ok

Eating my feelings on Sunday night? Couldn't be me... Well, at least I've turned the trip to get snacks into a loungery mental health walk.

It's going to take a while to get used to being in college on Mondays now. It results in me essentially having a Sunday-Monday weekend and then a full week right after which is a bit of a shock to the system! 😅

Been feeling a bit ill all day so it's time for something vaguely resembling an early night for a change. Goodnight, Bsky!

So, I was on stand by to preach this morning and, as it turned out, was needed. Worked on it on and off last night and this morning and gets what I came up with. Seemed to go down well, especially the "Starter for ten" (a little teaser bit near the start of the service).

docs.google.comSunday 27th September 26Starter for 10 Get 2 people up to the front (preferably children) Tell them to both face to one side and explain we're going to try some trust falls. Clearly give instructions. To one: let yoursel...

No cheating. Share the last photo of the sky from your camera roll. Sunset over a meadow a few weeks ago.

This post is unavailable.

@katycawkwell.bsky.social Thank you for this wonderful experience last night. I'm sorry I didn't stop to tell you in person but I was still, genuinely, under your spell and did not want to (couldn't!) break it until we were well away from the theatre.

Last night myself and a few folk from homegroup went to Street to see Lilith by Katy Cawkwell, a one-woman storytelling performance themed around the myths of Lilith and other mythical women of the ancient near east.

I saw everything she conjured with her words and movements. It was magical and awoke something very human inside of me that I've left a bit buried for a while: the love of story and storytelling: my love of writing. I actually felt a bit guilty for not writing more by the end,

not because I think my writing is so important or profound, but just because I'm not contributing to the great ocean of story that is human consciousness and civilization, when I could be. I was inspired. Unfortunately, my issue is not inspiration so much as motivation, but I must overcome this!

We chose to go because learning about Lilith was one of the things that came from our series on women of the Bible when one of our group led a session on Eve. She's since almost become our mascot, representing the modern and progressive emerging from the ancient, so we were excited to see

what this performance of female empowerment would be like. I'll be honest: I was spellbound. Being able to focus on one person taking for an hour and half is usually a titanic feat for me but she held my attention with ease and though I was always watching her,
