If you are interested in Megalodon and all other prehistoric sharks (and let’s face it, who isn’t?) there is a new book coming Feb 9th that you have to get! I was lucky enough to be commissioned to illustrate this amazing book wonderfully written by Dr. Jack Cooper #paleoart #sharks #sciart

Here are the concept designs of two mammals I did for the last two episodes of Surviving Earth. The famous Mastodon and Falcontoxodon #paleoart #sciart

Please say hello to Austronaga, an aquatic trachelosaurid from Triassic Asia. In a new OA paper published yesterday in Science Advances, Dr. Wei Wang , @stephanspiekman.bsky.social and colleagues presented a description of a COMPLETE Austronaga #paleoart #sciart

This Thursday’s episode of Surviving Earth dealt with GABI (the Great American Biotic Interchange). I was entrusted with designing several animals including the gigantic ground sloth Eremotherium eomigrans. I am really fond of ground sloths and I love reconstructing them! #paleoart #SurvivungEarth

Let me introduce you to Tametara mirim, a basal Cretaceous snake from South America that was likely fossorial. It is known from a beautifully preserved and articulated specimen that includes a skull! If you know anything about snake fossils you will know that is VERY rare #snakes #paleoart

Last night’s episode of Surviving Earth dealt with the Ordovician extinction and its aftermath. For this episode I was entrusted to create the concept design for Endoceras 9as you can see here), Telephina (the swimming trilobite) and Nerepisacanthus (the Silurian fish) #paleoart #SurvivingEarth

Last Saturday I had the opportunity to visit the Whiteside Museum of Natural History and observe the AMAZING collection of Permian fossils they have that includes beautiful Dimetrodon and Diplocaulus individuals #Dimetrodon #Diplocaulus

I could not be happier of how my concept designs got translated into 3D models by the talented artists at MilkVFX. Here are three more animals that I designed for last week’s episode of Surviving Earth: Dimetrodon, Diplocaulus and Dendromaia #SurvivingEarth #paleoart #sciart

I get a lot of good birds perching on the tree in front of my bedroom window

Last night episode of Surviving Earth showcased Spinosaurus! I was entrusted with doing the concept design for both the adult and hatchlings. It was so fulfilling to see my reconstruction moving around! Who else wants to have a bunch of Spinosaurus chicks following them around? #paleoart #sciart

For last week’s episode of Surviving Earth, I was entrusted with doing the concept design for Saurornitholestes. Here you can see my concept design and how amazingly it was translated into a 3d model by the talented artists at MilkVFX #paleoart #sciart #SurvivingEarth

The third episode of Surviving Earth is now available in PEACOCK. For this episode I was entrusted with creating the concept design of just 3 species: The small mammal Unnuakomys and the dinosaurs Asterioris and Saurornitholestes. I’ll post some concept art soon Stay tuned 😊

Tonight there will be another NEW episode of Surviving Earth, but before that let me show you the concept design of one of the cranky Hyperodapedon from last week’s episode. I love rhynchosaurs, so it was a dream come true when I was asked to create this creature design #paleoart #sciart
