In my latest online course, I cover the fundamental integration patterns you will see most often in #serverless applications.. And this isn't just point to point vs pub/sub. This course covers a range of different #patterns, and importantly, how you can actually use these patterns in #production.

A bit of fun with ChatGPT asking it to create a fun image of me based on what it knows about me. Annoyingly lots of back and forth as it said it wouldn’t generate an image of a public figure until I said “I am Lee Gilmore!!!” 😅

I would love Amazon Aurora DSQL to allow you to save queries in the Cluster Explorer query window. The amount of times I write some SQL and lose it (especially when the console times out and you need to reconnect!) #AWS #DSQL #awswishlist

I would love to be able to communicate with AWS Kiro using natural language with a simple microphone button instead of typing all of the time, and can hear the responses back conversationally and not just in the chat window. Choosing the persona, too, would be cool! #AWS #Kiro

I ran two polls on LinkedIn for 7 days to my 15K+ followers, and these were the results - Terraform pipped the AWS CDK when it came to go-to IaC frameworks. - TypeScript/NodeJS came out top for go-to language/frameworks. #AWS #Serverless #IaC

I don’t know if AI will replace most white-collar jobs in the next five years or not. What I do know though, is that I’ll keep learning, adapting, and upskilling to stay relevant regardless, just as I have always done. Focus on what you can control 🌱

It’s so easy with AI tools like Cursor to prompt ‘all’ changes through AI lazily, even things that you could do easily yourself by opening the correct file(s) and making the change, and no wonder we have quality issues when multiple files are changed on each run..

Been using Cursor for an Expo/React Native app, and it’s awesome at the start, but the more you get into the nitty gritty design the more you need to either a.) manually do or b.) be super super super specific with prompts, in my experience.. otherwise…
