Listened to an NPR story this morning about mass child starvation in Senegal without a single mention of Elon Musk, the guy who gleefully created the conditions for the mass starvation

Israel must release Zeteo contributor Alex Colston and the rest of the flotilla activists and crew. This is piracy:

zeteo.com'Piracy': Israel Kidnaps Nearly 200 Peace Activists Aboard Flotilla 600 Miles Away From GazaZeteo contributor Alex Colston is among those Israel abducted, as activists accuse Greece, a NATO member, of complicity after Israeli forces intercepted 22 boats in international waters near Crete.

Israel just abducted activists, journalists & humanitarians from the Global Sumud Flotilla — including our contributor Alex Colston. Zeteo demands that Israel immediately release those kidnapped & calls on the UN, the US & governments across Europe to take urgent action & hold Israel accountable.

Whoa. Dems just flipped a Texas state senate seat in a district that Trump carried by 17 points. Not only that, but the win was decisive, making this an enormous swing. Plus, Republicans went all in to try to save the seat, to no avail.

This is a dark moment for the American justice system and our democracy. I have worked alongside Letitia James for seven years. She is as tough and as fair as it gets, and a leader amongst attorneys general on both sides of the aisle. I stand with her unequivocally in this moment.

I hope the majority realizes you can't win over the right wing with civility or the old ways. Doesn't work. Its a dangerous, violent, hypocritical cult without shame. They want power by any illegal means necessary. Choose your fighters accordingly. The current Dem leadership ain't it.

If you are one of the almost 100 Dems who voted to honor the guy who said the Civil Rights Act was a huge mistake, don’t bother asking Black people to vote for you, donate to you or canvass for you next year. Don’t bother. Please. And don’t be shocked if you get a primary opponent.

#ICE Agents Tear Down Cameras And Break Doors And Windows At Restaurant in Burbank Only criminals would need to do this. They know they're breaking the law, and they're destroying anything that can give evidence. #Nuremburg style trials can't come fast enough.

Americans are relearning the lesson we learned during the Gilded Age of the late 1890s, when robber barons ran the government and the economy for their own benefit: Oligarchy is incompatible with the common good. I'm hopeful we'll respond with a new progressive movement.

The VA’s unilateral termination of union contracts for ~360k workers represents a loss of 2.5% OF ALL UNION MEMBERS IN AMERICA. I’m not sure what it will take for the labor movement to get into crisis mode, but the crisis is here.
