The US is an enemy of Canada according to an increasingly larger percentage of Canadians. The Leger poll misses a key point: Republicans that follow Trump won't be any different. Republicans support Trump's war on Canada.

Trump isn't following any laws. Short of shooting people at the polls, Trump will do anything his acolytes suggest.

So, government shutdowns will be a thing of the past. Future presidents will simply issue EOs that staff have to be paid. Congress will no longer control the purse strings. Plus, the Constitution and laws are irrelevant to Trump and the Republicans. This does not bode well for democracy.

Trump's ambassadors are forcing themselves into other countries' domestic policies around the world. The reprise of the ugly American is not a good look.

Trump should try to understand the expected damage to the US if he single-handedly continues economic war on Canada. Republicans and their voters will have no one to blame but themselves. Trump and his family will be fine - they are grifting billions off the presidency this time.
