Did you know some merfolk can shape shift? 🤔 #SevraxestheSanguine #Seasnake #professionalmermonster #ShadowscaleStudios #AquaticExpressiveArt

View full thread

When Sevraxes the Sanguine was first encountered in the wild, the monstrous sea snake sported shining emerald scales with hues of onyx and his tail had no fluke or fins to speak of.

The battle to subdue this monster turned the sea so red, it is said his scales are stained to match the Sanguine namesake he earned that day.

The Shadowscale species are able to change colors, fins, and fluke shapes to fit their current environment. When necessary, they are even known to completely shed their tails in favor of legs. 🧜🏽‍♂️

Sevraxes the Sanguine just might be a Sea Witch 🧜🏽‍♂️ #SevraxestheSanguine #professionalmermonster #ShadowscaleStudios #AquaticExpressiveArt #MertifulMermaid

Beware, lest you fall under the siren's spell. Many merfolk are known to possess certain... hypnotic abilities. If one sets its sights on you, perhaps try offering the creature a shining trinket or maybe jewels to belay its hunger. 🧜🏽‍♂️

Similar to dragons, mermonsters are notorious treasure hoarders and love covering themselves in sunken treasure. Sevraxes the Sanguine can often be found basking in the moonlight, dripping in the shimmering trappings of the drowned. What tribute would you bring to the Sanguine Siren?

I just have to say this is such an absolutely beautiful piece and I'm in love with the red and blacks. It's giving Scarlet Witch vibes for sure and I can't wait to see what kinds of accessories we can pair with it.

We'll be planning an official shoot for this piece soon, our initial try at the beach was an instant fail. 😁

Some species of merfolk like to play with their food before consuming them. Some perform elaborate displays with bubbles and flukes while silently moving into position to strike. 🧜🏽‍♂️ #SevraxestheSanguine #professionalmermonster #ShadowscaleStudios #AquaticExpressiveArt #MertifulMermaid

Be careful where you swim, some Siren species are incredibly territorial and will devour unsuspecting humans that wander too deeply into their domain. Changing their tails to suit their surroundings, these mermonsters are masters of camouflage, stealth and are ALWAYS hungry. 🫦 🎬 LEGS 🧜🏽‍♂️ MerNation

Before his capture and recent captivity, Sevraxes the Sanguine was known to devour entire crews, leaving nothing but ravaged ships to be found drifting as coffins in the sea. 🌈 🎬 LEGS 🧜🏽‍♂️ MerNation 🌈 #LEGS #mermonstershortfilm #SevraxestheSanguine #professionalmermonster #ShadowscaleStudios
