No American should have to worry about affording the insulin they need to stay healthy. My bipartisan INSULIN Act would cap insulin costs at $35 per month. I’m going to keep fighting to make this life-saving medication more affordable.

It was great to meet with the staff, interns and volunteers at the Mount Washington Observatory who provide critical weather prediction services and research. There’s no place like Mount Washington in the fall, and it’s always a fun trip on the Cog. Thanks for having me!

Every child in the Granite State deserves a healthy, safe and bright future. As Red Ribbon Week begins, I’m committed to supporting prevention and education efforts that help protect our young people from substance misuse and strengthen our communities.

It was an honor to join Seacoast leaders and community stakeholders to discuss our progress in addressing PFAS contamination at Pease and the work that still remains. I’m grateful for their tireless advocacy and partnership over the years.

American leadership abroad is critical to protecting our national security and strengthening our alliances. It was great joining UNH’s 2026 Security Forum today to discuss the challenges facing our country and the importance of our next generation of foreign policy leaders.

Our service members deserve access to independent reporting. Appointing a Pentagon PR official as editor of Stars and Stripes will do just the opposite. From the White House to the Pentagon, the President's crack down on the freedom of the press is unacceptable. www.military.com/pentagon-nam...

On Monday, I met with USDA officials and local stakeholders at Bartlett to discuss a path forward to keep this critical facility open. While we made good progress on a plan, there remains more work to be done⬇️

Since learning about the Trump Administration's efforts to shutter the Bartlett Experimental Forest, I’ve done all I can to protect this critical facility from closure. While my meeting with USDA officials was productive, there is more work to be done to protect Bartlett.

I was honored to receive the NH Hospital Association's highest award this morning at their annual gathering. With our state confronting Republican-led health care funding cuts and persistent workforce shortages, I'm grateful for all that our tireless health care professionals do.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Regular screenings and early detection can save lives. This month, let’s raise awareness, honor survivors and support every Granite Stater impacted by breast cancer.

It was an honor to join this morning’s James W. Foley Run in remembrance of Jim Foley. Jim’s courage continues to inspire us all, and receiving the James Foley Hero Award today was especially humbling— and a powerful reminder of his bravery. Congratulations to all the runners who took part today!

Election Day is just around the corner on November 3. It’s time to make sure you’re prepared to cast your ballot. Check your voter registration, find your polling location and make a plan for Election Day.

Too many Americans are struggling to afford the insulin they need to survive. My bipartisan INSULIN Act would cap monthly insulin costs at $35 for Americans with private insurance. It’s time for Congress to take action to lower these costs.

It is an honor to be recognized by the New Hampshire Women's Foundation with the establishment of their new “Shaheen Girls Leadership Award." While truly humbling, we must also recognize the progress we’ve made, the work that remains, and focus on supporting our next generation of female leaders.

Donald Trump is using Ukraine as a scapegoat for the high energy prices American families are facing as a result of his war in Iran. Make no mistake, America still stands with Ukraine. It’s Donald Trump who is shifting away from them.

As housing prices hit new highs in New Hampshire, many Granite Staters are forced to make impossible financial decisions. We must continue to work to increase New Hampshire’s housing supply so that every family can find an affordable place to call home. www.nhpr.org/business/202...

Soaring oil prices due to the President's reckless war with Iran are leading too many Granite Staters to fall behind on their home heating bills. Families cannot afford another winter of high utility bills, but that’s exactly what Americans are facing because of this Administration’s actions.

For 251 years, the U.S. Navy has played a crucial role in keeping Americans safe. Today, we celebrate the brave women and men who have served and continue to serve our country. Happy Birthday to the U.S. Navy!

On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we celebrate the history, culture and contributions of Indigenous peoples in New Hampshire and across our country. Today, and every day, we reaffirm our commitment to fighting for the rights and voices of Indigenous people.

Americans shouldn't have to pay more than $35 a month for the insulin they need to survive. I’m continuing to push to get my bipartisan INSULIN Act across the finish line and lower costs for families.

New Hampshire’s small businesses deserve the resources they need to grow and thrive. I’m proud to have helped secure over $2 million in Congressionally Directed Spending to expand access to advising, training and other key resources to power our Granite State business owners.

No Granite Stater should ever face homelessness because of the Trump Administration's incompetence. That's why I led our delegation in calling on the Department of Housing & Urban Development to take action immediately to restore funding that housing organizations in our state rely on ⬇️

The state you live in shouldn’t determine whether you can afford the insulin you need to live. By capping monthly insulin costs at $35 a month, my INSULIN Act would ensure that's never the case. With broad bipartisan support, the time is now to get my legislation passed.

Investing in energy efficiency is a commonsense way to lower costs for families, create jobs, and help protect our environment. I’m proud that the Senate once again passed my bipartisan resolution, marking today as Energy Efficiency Day. www.shaheen.senate.gov/news/press/p...

With affordable, high-quality early education out of reach for too many, we should be strengthening Head Start. Instead, the Trump Administration is weakening standards and jeopardizing services at Head Start that have successfully served children and families for over 50 years.

During Mental Illness Awareness Week, we must continue to shed light on our nation’s mental health crisis and fight for more resources and better access to treatments so that all Americans can get the care they need.

I’m proud that my resolution to designate this week as National Community Policing Week passed the Senate unanimously. Strong relationships between law enforcement and the people they serve are critical to building trust, strengthening communities and improving public safety.

Too many Americans are being forced to pay thousands a year for the life-saving insulin they need. Passing my bipartisan INSULIN Act is an action we could take right now to ensure all Americans, regardless of where they live, can afford the medication they need to survive.

Millions have lost SNAP benefits because of senseless cuts in Republicans’ “Big Beautiful Bill.” Families are already struggling to afford groceries, and SNAP cuts will make it even harder to put food on the table. We must protect nutrition assistance for all who need it.

Yesterday, organizations across the country saw grant funding they use to provide housing for vulnerable communities expire. And HUD has done nothing to address it. This is hurting my constituents, and why I'm pressing HUD to right this wrong. www.nhpr.org/nh-news/2026...

Pete Hegseth is again targeting our nation's top military leaders with zero explanation. With our nation in the midst of a war in the Middle East, Secretary Hegseth's leadership makes Americans less safe. This is yet another example of his incompetence. apnews.com/article/hegs...

This Administration is doing nothing—zero—to help the American people. While the President drives up costs and illegally cuts funding for programs to support housing and health care, he's using your tax dollars to pay for ads and a ballroom. I spoke on the Senate floor to call it out.

For 5 decades, the Hyde Amendment has denied reproductive health care services to those who need them, creating chaos and putting lives at risk. It's long past time to end this cruel policy and make clear that abortion care is essential health care for millions of Americans.

During National Recovery Month, we recognize the strength and resilience of all those battling substance use disorder and the families, friends and communities who support them. I’ll continue to work to ensure every Granite Stater has access to the treatment, resources and support they need.
