Saved! Desperately searching for something gentler to watch, after weeks of depressing, gory shows and books, I found a new season of Call the Midwife. Heaven.

It's not like Call the Midlife is always happy. It's just no one is mean. Ever.

4 Sept

It creeps me out.

Madeline Carlisle is the latest abandoning 60 Minutes.

Exxon and Chevron are making too much money? That's rich, Donnie Dumbo.

4 July

I'm sorry, but I don't give a fuck about T&T wedding.

4 July

Doggies are alert but not freaked out by pre-4th fireworks. I hope all of your pets are calm.

19 June

I wish Steve Jobs were alive today. What would he say about technology, oligarchy, Billionaires? I honestly don't know.

18 June

Well, crap. Looks like I'm going to do a Hurculean housecleaning tomorrow as my house is filthy and my AC is failing. It's really not a bad thing.

15 June

Sometimes, the best supper is easy homemade pesto on pasta, topped with chopped tomatoes.

This is Copo. He firmly believes this cow statue is his new best friend. 13/10 super happy for them both (IG: copodenievebullterrier)

Thunder/hail storm arriving. Heard a warning earlier about this in north eastern Oregon but now it's arrived here in south central Washington. So far, pups are OK but staying very close to me.

JFC, I can't stop sneezing. I know this is minor, but fuck allergies and climate change.

Why are my asshole neighbors shooting fireworks and freaking out my dogs? Oh, yeah. Because they're assholes.

2 Apr

Call the Midwife brings me so much joy.

30 Mar

I'm watching The Big Lebowski, first time. I had no idea how many stars were in it. A very young and always brilliant Philip Seymour Hoffman is the biggest and saddest surprise. Such a loss. Great movie so far.

30 Mar

I can't think of a more understated, subtle, and thus more powerful and versatile actor than PSH.

Donald Trump: "I don't want a stupid president." Resign immediately, Mr. President.

The Gray House. Just watched @mjfree.bsky.social interview on @lawrenceodonnell.bsky.social --wonderful. Going to start watching the 8-episode series tonight.

TV (Castle Rock) isn't providing the right distraction, disturbing even. Can't keep my mind on my book. Today has been hard. I'm going to try some Finding Your Roots. Henry Louis Gates is a soothing national treasure.

14 Feb

I'm back on Castle Rock. It's still disturbing but very good and relevant. Finding reading hard, which is very weird for me. Maybe the book is wrong for me now.

11 Feb

Great documentary on Netflix: Becoming based on Michelle Obama's book. Please give it ❤️🩷🧡💚💙. You know why.

9 Feb

OK, Seahawks celebrants. Could we stop with the fireworks already? One dog is completely freaked out and the other is shaking. They need a potty break before any of us can go to bed. STOP!!!

3 Feb

Quit calling them underaged girls! They were children raped by horrible men.

1 Feb

Watching more FYR tonight. So awesome.

Best choice ever: Finding Your Roots. Night all.

19 Jan

Watching 11/22/63 on Netflix. I'm finding it very disturbing. I loved the novel when I read it 15 or so years ago. Hmmm.
