Imagine how bad it gets when time, budget and crew isn't managed optimally and you don't tell the director that "no means no" throughout the process. Imagine a client asking for edits after an excruciating long comm even if you told them revisions are at sketch. Yeah, that's how it feels.

Compositing feels like it'd be relatively straightforward. And then You receive every single leftover task, retake, final director request, you have to go through everything with a fine comb, you have to render the shots. And at that point, the production team is a skeleton crew. It's rough man.

I wouldnt be surprised if the genAI pushers that say "it makes drawing democratized for everyone" are the same folks who constantly asked the two students who actually liked drawing in art class if they can do their assignment for them. Drawing is basically free and for everyone. Create with us.

But hey, positive story time: I couldn't get into the art class one year 'cause it was full so I was forced into music classes. I was upset at first. Now look at that, I play drums. If you truly like art, you will expand your horizons and journey into new adventures and come out more skilled.

Bonus: After those classes: - I joined the competition team to go in Florida 3 times. Played in the big band, got into the jazz band as the single drummer and then the choir as a bonus. - Made a garage band and played in pretty big Montréal venues. I draw, I animate and I play drums now.

Still funny to me the immense amount of people who got in art class during high school not 'cause they wanna draw but because these classes were so easy to pass. There wasn't interest in art, just like we see now from people who shill genAI. It's the same folk. 💀
