My only complaint is Rhodes should've had more screen time! Either making the episode longer.......or cutting out Viy's part and turning him into a sidestory๐Ÿค

So to summarize my thoughts: Love my green cat๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ›๐Ÿฉบ Ursus' current & future story got me hooked ๐Ÿฟ Hierda playing messiah getting more interesting๐Ÿ™ Talulah will take all my rolls and LMD๐Ÿ’ถ Mystic casters are kinda washed๐Ÿฅ€

And they haven't been twiddling their thumbs waiting for Kal mom to come back. Throughout the sidestories and EP15, we've seen them regroup and reestablish themselves throughout Terra.

Like Kal and Doctor said, Rhodes will continue despite the loss of one person. But they wouldn't be Rhodes if they abandoned one of their own when there's a chance to save them. When they all hope for her return.

Finally, Rhodes. My main interest for this episode. It's nice that we get a solid W for once, especially after EP15. Some say Kal came back too fast, which I think is justified. Perhaps a longer time apart, more hardships and growth, would've made the reunion more poignant.

But I think in the grand scheme of things, this pacing stays true to the hopecore ideology of Arknights. While Theresa, Amiya, and the Doctor all contribute to Rhodes' ideology of hope, it's Kal'tsit who has kept that flame lit throughout the ages for them to find.

Sirka's reveal at the end was the cherry on top that turned it into a soap opera lmao. Illegitimate child between the Marshals? You know what sure, nepo baby Anatoliy deserves all the mindbreak tbh.

But I am a little disappointed their family dispute kinda drops dead (with Anatoliy and Ulyanova). Anatoliy in particular, while being a psycho, had the potential to grow into a better (or worse) guy since he was just a kid. In the end they were just vehicles for Hierda and Ursus' plot progression.

Also the scripted stage with him was funny as hell๐Ÿ˜ญ They give you 2 5* vanguards (with 1 having an RA module equipped??), 2 healers, and a nice open space for his mystic caster range. Sorry HG I am NOT using him when I have Ebenholz and Indigo already

Ok now that that's off my chest, I do find the dynamic of the different Ursus armies quite interesting. Having your own national armies be at odds with each other to the point of having frontlines is unbelievably messy.

Now I gotta be honest: Viy's whole section with the 4th Army and his Sechin unit stick out like a sore thumb. I just wasn't as invested in them since they were just thrown into this episode without prior setup. Feels like you jump into their story at the midpoint.

Dashing heroic general underdog is a nice angle, but its tone just felt so out of sync with the rest of the story. They're on a road trip to Zelgrad for most of the story and progress their plot through a sudden epiphany Viy has.

Circling back to Ursus, I'm also very excited to see how the sidestories will progress given the factions EP17 leaves it with. Tulin's workers and infected joining hands with Reunion, the Tsar's faction, Anastasia and the Duchess challenging the Tsar with their own royal blood...

...and ofc the Deathless Black Snake. I feel as though the last 2 could easily coalesce into 1 due to their emphasis on strength to fight. We'll see if they differ in certain aspects of their ideologies. Either way, Tulin and Fyodor have a lot to deal with to see the Ursus they envision.

As for the originium plot thread, I was initially perplexed by Hierda's presence in the story, but now I'm thoroughly invested in the ideological (and theological) chaos she brings. I'm a sucker for antagonists with misguided altruism acting in ignorance after being given powers.

She's a good bnuy...but she did not take existential dread really well (no thanks to Priestess๐Ÿ˜…). Hope to see her and Amiya's ideologies clash in the far future!

I can see now why Talulah is a strong contender to be the next limited operator. Crazy to think 6 years ago I started the game, only for her to possibly become playable now. While I am excited for Talulah and will 100% pull for her, I hope this new Reunion isn't merely a stage to shill her.

The reformed Reunion plot still feels like it's winding up despite having a presence since mid-Victorian arc. They've saved many infected, but now they have to face their biggest trial against Ursus. Rather than "Talulah and friends," I hope Reunion becomes a formidable humanitarian organization๐Ÿค”

Overall enjoyed this episode! Of course the Rhodes side was my main focus as a Kal'tsit lover, but "People A People" also made me greatly appreciate the Ursus plot thread as well. Interesting to see a more bleak outlook on Ursus after the hopecore of its sidestory.

The contrast really drives in the more positive and perhaps naive perspective of the children of Ursus. Looking forward to see how things progress in the next Ursus sidestory (which is possibly the next one in CN)! Was also surprised to see even more familiar faces pop up.

Man, this boss got hands Took me quite a few tries and I had to bring out ol' reliable phys team to deal with the counters. But managed to beat it with 20s to spare๐Ÿ˜ค

Needed to roll that much anyways bc I also hard pitied her weapon and I needed the arsenal tickets Endfield once again draining all my rolls ๐Ÿฅ€

decided to dump 100 pulls since I planned 200 for this banner and !??!?!!? ๐ŸŽis rate up but ๐Ÿ‹showed up instead omg I'm not even mad
