got really emotional clearing my personal belongings out of my car. weve been through so many adventures together. as far west as Deerfield, as far northeast as Portland, all the way down south to Providence, and the only evidence left behind now are the scars upon her exterior

she's climbed Pat's Peak, slid into steel barriers on her right side, twice, weathered many a blizzard without worry, and has even been rear-ended twice! fourty-five thousand miles is a really long way...

i used to live down the street from that second building for years when i was a kid. i think it's a Greek Orthodox Church? i have no idea what that first photo is, but apparently, i walked past it this morning

im going to give these past 8 years of overemployment a purpose tomorrow. if you want a 5 speed manual 2018 Subaru Impreza sedan with 90,000 miles on it, go to the Ira Subaru of Manchester, New Hampshire next week. she will serve you well, as she has these past ~40,000 miles for me

today might be my last day with this car. im still on the fence about getting that BRZ... it'll be less practical, faster, more fun. no backseats. rear wheel drive! expensive... but the only thing ive truly spent money on this past decade

shit. i dont have time to climb Mt. Washington before trading this thing in tomorrow. it's a 3 hour drive north of where i am. i wanted to give it a final grand voyage. That Bumper Sticker is like a baptism for New England motorists. ah well...

one of the left side tires has a tendency to leak about 5 psi on a monthly basis. thr glove compartment doesnt open immediately, but slowly, and must be shut at the same speed to preserve that functionality on next opening. the HVAC temp control is dependent on engine RPM...

it understeers in a straight line under torque in slippery conditions, and predictably regains traction when releasing the gas, oversteers ever so slightly in high speed braking. its proportions are slightly larger than im comfortable with, but i overcompensate around others...

i know this impreza like an aged, functional, but injured body. the rubber seals on the driver side window become too rigid for a smooth rolldown in cold weather. the power supply for the radio head unit tends to cut off when there's moisture present under the hood from rain...

i keep thinking about how the amount of money i'd end up spending on it could go to helping people... my only hesitation is that it would be like abandoning them. maybe i already am, because it's not like ive given much of it away in the first place. only prepared myself to

i think if im to ever take photography seriously, im gonna have to return to being an unabashed pervert. many future apologies to women and adjacent peoples. and anyone with a NO TRESPASSING sign up near their cool looking building

I REMEMBER IT NOW i was in the courtyard of Central High School of Manchester, NH to see a "bullet train" they installed and it was just a small commuter rail that went in a circle to each building on campus, and it was bullet train shaped. the Abe Lincoln statue was gone

just remembered, when i woke up this morning, i remembered my dream last night. i thought it was so memorable that i wouldnt forget it. and uh... no i didnt. so here we are

i have a distinct memory of my dad and i walking through there once to get somewhere, and he was telling me about his outline for a sci-fi dystopia story he wanted to write that, now that i think about it, was just a blatant ripoff of 1984, but with hypno-milk
