Mum twisted my arm to get Max. At first I wasn't keen. Looking after her was a full time job and I couldn't see I'd have time to train him. She insisted and that's how Max came into my life. Sadly, mum passed away a year later. He's been such a good companion #dogs #dogsofbluesky #bordercollie

I’m trying to read and somebody keeps nudging me #dogsofbluesky

Give me four versions of yourself

I just heard the sad news that Walter Koenig has passed away. Farewell Chekov

A grey day deserves a bit of colour. #macromonday #flower #bloomscrolling

Quote with your earliest TV memory

Morning Bluesky A calm, but wet morning. Quite a relief, after the last few stormy days. Probably time to get the last of the pots into the greenhouse for winter. Have a great week everybody #flower #gardening #bloomscrolling

I had a suspicion I'd forgotten to change a clock somewhere last night. Just spotted it's the one on the boiler

Morning Bluesky The wind's still roaring outside and the trees swaying madly. Max had to make do with a run in the garden. As it didn't look safe to take our usual walk. Have a good day everybody #flower #bloomscrolling

Tired out by an hour of tug and a dollop of custard. #dogsofbluesky

Apple crumble eaten and the games begin #dogsofbluesky

The winds really picking up again here. That wasn't in the forecast!

Such an iconic sound. Nearly every summer, RAF Chivenor had an airday. This would be the most memorable sound of the day. Especially as they Battle of Britain flight flew right over the house

Currently on BBC4

Just thinking about my many intimidating maiden Great Aunts. Aunty Lilly, the spitting image of Queen Mary. Aunty Rachel akin to Margaret Rutherford's eccentric Miss Marple. Aunty Gladys the kindly Joan Hickson's Miss Marple. Her Sister, Aunty Olive. Dad described her, as Attila the Hun in a dress.

Currently on BBC 4. It's the Body in the Library, staring Joan Hickson. I'm lucky in having two Great Aunts that were so like Miss Marple. My Aunty Gladys was the spitting image of Joan Hickson and similarly mannered. Aunty Rachel was the wonderfully eccentric Margaret Rutherford incarnation.

It's a wet and miserable evening. So I gave in and opened a bottle of wine. Now the large Toblerone is calling. Do I give in to that too?

The borders took a beating in yesterday's storm. These are some of the flowers that survived. #sixonsaturday #flower #gardening #bloomscrolling

Morning Bluesky A calm but wet morning. Max wasn't keen on being out for long. So it was just a short walk. Not that I blame him. It was much nicer under the duvet. Have a good weekend everybody #flower #gardening #bloomscrolling

The one tree I was most worried about has gone over and through the fence #stormausten

Morning Bluesky Just back from walking Max. It’s still eerily quiet outside. I’m sure that’ll all change when the storm finally arrives Have a good day everybody and stay safe in those winds #flower #gardening #bloomscrolling

I was expecting to be woken by the storm during the night. But its currently calm and still outside #nature

Max, mid toss of one of his rope toys #dogsofbluesky

Morning Bluesky A calm and still morning after a night of heavy rain. A brief respite, as Storm Austen arrives tonight. I'm just on the edge of the amber warning area. So fingers crossed. I'm spared the worst of the forecast winds. Have a great day everyone #flower #gardening #bloomscrolling

Can I pop this in your lap? #dogsofbluesky

Think I’ve picked up a bug from somewhere. I was feeling rotten. So decided to have a look quick lay down on the sofa. When I briefly came to earlier, before dozing off again. Someone had joined me #dogsofbluesky

Morning Bluesky It's a wild and windy start to the day. The winds roaring through the trees along the lane and the seagulls are being blown around the sky. Even Max didn't want to be outside for long! Have a great day everybody #flower #gardening #bloomscrolling

Morning Bluesky Have a great day everybody #flower #gardening #bloomscrolling

Drop some GHOSTS or SPIRITS 👻🖤

Max is sulking on the sofa. As I’m busy doing the ironing and not playing with him #dogsofbluesky

Go to your camera and search 'boat' and post one that you like.

Morning Bluesky It was still completely dark when I opened the curtains this morning. I'll be glad when the clocks change this coming weekend. Have a great week everybody #flower #gardening #bloomscrolling

Just back from Max's walk. The bat's busy hunting between the apple trees. Oddly, it feels warmer outside now. Than it has done all day.

Morning Bluesky It's a chilly morning. Currently only 5c outside and all the house windows are misted up. I'm glad to be back indoors and able to warm my hands, after Max's walk. Have a great Sunday everybody #flower #gardening #bloomscrolling

QTP with a cartoon with an awesome theme song 🎶

Trumps recent unusual gait. Makes me wonder if he's wearing a pair of these? Might explain the huge arse.

Pink seems to be the theme in the garden flowers today #sixonsaturday #flower #gardening #bloomscrolling

At what point do you have too much underwear? I've just put laundry away and refilled two draws with just briefs and boxers.

Flu and covid jabs done for another year. A big thank you, to my local surgery and all other NHS staff. For working today and the next few weekends to keep us fully vaccinated.

Morning Bluesky There's a proper nip in the air this morning and most of the house windows are misted up. I've walked Max, started the washing and I'm now trying to warm my hands on a mug of tea. Have a great weekend everybody #flower #gardening #bloomscrolling

Morning Bluesky A nice sunny morning. About to do my good deed for the day. One of my elderly neighbour has a hospital appointment. So I said I'd give her a lift. As there's no direct bus any more. Have a great day everyone #flower #gardening #bloomscrolling

Water levels in parts of the southwest are at critical levels. Wimbleball reservoir on Exmoor is only 18% full.

Not long after I took this. Max thought he’d try sitting in my lap and almost flattened trying #dogsofbluesky

Repost a picture with your pets! Here's Max. Mudlark, ball collector, ear licker and apple muncher

Morning Bluesky A really mild and dry morning here. With a surprisingly warm breeze. I'm half tempted to chance doing some washing. Have a great day everybody #flower #gardening #bloomscrolling

Someone's having a lay in! #flower #insect #nature #bloomscrolling

Morning Bluesky I wasn't expecting to see heavy dew on the lawn and the bedroom window half misted. When I woke this morning. I watched the bats in the garden last night and thought it was still quite warm for this time of year. Have a great day everybody #flower #gardening #bloomscrolling
