Now that the ArchaeoGaming Conference (the last of many events and volunteer efforts I organized for this month) is over, I am finally done! So many messages went unanswered leading up to this. I'll be catching up soon, but will need a week off to recover first. Thanks y'all!

Thanks for tuning in and for making this such a kickass weekend of incredible presentations and impactful conversations. A huge thank you to our presenters for sharing their work, enthusiasm, and creativity, and to everyone who joined in with questions and thoughtful banter.

After four years away, it’s been an absolute blast to bring everyone together for another weekend to explore the unique intersection between archaeology and gaming. We already want to do it again! #AGCon2026

Coming up on our yearly tradition, paying homage to how our looong running homebrew dnd campaign was started at the first ever ArchaeogGaming Conference in 2020. Tune in for a special session of Welcome to Goblin Town" featuring me and my friends at 1:00PM PDT! www.twitch.tv/goblintownrpg

The ArchaeoGaming Conference is currently underway, and I could not be prouder of what our team of organizers was able to accomplish after an entire year of chaotic preparation and hard work. Day one just wrapped up, but we have even more presentations this weekend, so please tune in! #AGCon2026

Please help me in spreading the word on this free service provided by the Alta Heritage Foundation, as they are starting to mobilize in response to the recent fires in Spokane and other parts of Washington. They are currently recruiting for local archaeologist volunteers!

No science fiction could have prepared us for just how stupid the end of the world can be. "The environment was on the brink of collapse, and so, rather than deal with that, we burned what fuel we had left getting computers to scam each other for money."

Ten years ago, I was missing my art supplies at the time, and I had this crazy idea to try painting digitally. Cowboy Bebop is my favorite series of all time, and I wanted to see what Spike Spiegel would look like in my own style. So I took a screenshot and started painting over it...

Ten years later, it's still woefully unfinished. Over the years, I've tinkered with it from time to time, but knowing myself, I doubt I'll ever be happy enough to consider it truly finished. Even so, I'm still hella proud to have created something like this without today's artificial bullshit.

Which is why this moment made my entire world! 💙 Last month, I got to show my art to Steve Blum. I was able to give him a few prints, and he signed one for me to keep forever. I even got a video of him saying "that belongs in a museum" and near fainted lol.

Ended Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month on a high note with a wonderful webinar by George Takei, who shared his experiences growing up in an internment camp and how he and his family faced injustice with resilience and dignity.

I spent last night at a special screening of Third Act and was lucky enough to meet director Tadashi Nakamura afterward. Was in tears. As an Asian American, it uncovered and begun to heal deep festering wounds I've carried with me my whole life. I highly recommend watching this very special film...

Found out earlier this morning that I was subscribed to Turning Point USA without my knowledge. A reminder that we all need to check our YouTube subscriptions periodically because... 🚫

My dad just asked me how to install mods on his Steam Deck so that he could play the "Pine Village Expansion" on Stardew Valley... I have no idea where he even learned about mods, I don't mess with those! Eric Barone needs release a proper update quick before I lose my mind!

This whole Artemis thing is pretty fuckin wild. Like, how do you launch a rocket, fling it around the Moon, then, bam, perfect landing in the ocean? Like, maybe these people should be running the world instead of our current crop of whackjobs.

But my absolute highlight of #NWAC2026 was getting invited to crash the Alaskans' Belzoni on the last night. No better way to end this joint conference than to meet such amazing, wonderful folks from Alaska and listen to so many cool and interesting stories about how archaeology is done up north!
