Science, music, travel and opaque jokes. I prefer "progressive liberal" to "lefty". I don't follow back people who push Crypto. If you're really desperate to know more you can ready my autobiography..

Needs an "until they jumped the shark" caveat. Ted Lasso S4 is pants, Line of Duty (criminal omission, for the first 3 seasons anyway). Modern Family's slow fizzle after the first few seasons . Then Parks and Rec was only good after S1. And no Santa Clarita Diet, Expanse, Slow Horses..

I’ve seen 64 of the NYT’s best 100 TV shows of the 21st century. And don’t really disagree with the inclusion of any of those. That’s a good hit rate.

#LFF After being 23k or so down the queue last year, I started early this year and was only 7300 in the queue, now down to about 2k and 15 minutes. I have a long list though (anticipating not getting many of my choices..). We shall see a little after 11.

The only reason data centers use so much water is that it's cheap. They can have closed loop cooling (like a fridge) or air cooling. But they cost more. Presumably the heat could be used to generate electricity, or just as local heat, but again that would cost. This could be regulated. #datacentres

Can the BBC stop kissing Trump's ring? Trump is the reason behind the collapse, don't imply Canada has done anything wring. #trump #canada BBC News - Trump says Canada wants 'benefits' of being US state after trade talks collapse www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

At least we know where Trump's allegiances lie, following his support for North Korea and complaining about the UK supplying drones to Ukraine. Presumably because he admires autocratic leadership and aspires towards it for himself. #trump #ukraine #maga

Fairly pleased with my first attempt at an #eclipse time lapse. From a park in Enfield, North London. We had some eclipse glasses and they were very popular - we had tears, praying and kids who didn't want to give them back..

Every single second, the world hands $6,000 to the fossil fuel industry in subsidies. That’s $5 TRILLION every year. Renewables? Barely a fraction of that. We are literally paying to cook our own planet. When does this madness stop? 🌍💸 #ClimateCrisis #FossilFuels

This half time show is a bit shit isn't it? Also, that BTS bit sounded exactly the same as just about any other modern pop song, though I admit I'd never knowingly heard them before and I'm not in the target audience. #final #worldcup #esparg

I do hope all the main political parties see through Farage's posturing and don't stand against him. Face the music, Farage, don't pretend to be a man of integrity, anyone with half a brain knows you aren't #farage #reform #clacton

Disappointed and surprised by this. The normal assumption would be that whoever is suing the Daily Mail is probably in the right. #mail #court BBC News - www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c9... Prince Harry loses High Court case against Mail publisher - follow live - BBC News

It's all very well the MoD complaining this new money isn't enough, but they have a shocking record for overspending on fancy but ineffective weapons. The future seems to be cheaper, smaller systems, not massive shiny ones. And it not like they can recruit anyone anyway.

At the very least the bars should not be able to serve alcohol when either house is sitting. It's the 21st century, in most professions you'll be disciplined or even sacked for being drunk in the office. It's not the 1980s any more. Or the 1880s.

"The petition hit 10,000 - the government must now formally respond within 60 days. Parliamentary bars cost £7.4m a year. Pints are £2 below pub price." If you don't want your MP to be allowed to vote on vital issues while drunk - please keep signing petition.parliament.uk/petitions/768417
