Thinking of former colleagues who now work at Channel 4. This news must be really unsettling for them and their work mates today.

Channel 4 has just announced its biggest cuts to its workforce in its history, with 28% of employees to lose their jobs.

The Arctic Corsair moves to her final berth along the River Hull. She represents the cities long history of trawling, a moving memorial to the thousands who died fishing at sea. #arcticcorsair

I took this picture in 2019 when the #ArcticCorsair began her restoration journey. Tomorrow, restored at last, she moves to a final River Hull home at North End Shipyard. (Please do not republish without asking first, especially if you are part of Reach PLC)

He's not called the "King of the North" in most parts of the north. Southern based media completely misread the impact Andy #Burnham has had on the rest of the north. I don't think he claims the title for himself either. His focus was, rightly, on the north west where he's done great work.

I end the day and am proud to say I haven't heard his voice once. I did the same with Trumple, managed to go weeks just flicking the channel whenever his smug face appeared or it sounded like he was about to be on the radio. I accept the challenge once more.

If anyone in Trumples orbit could read, they could try looking at the NATO articles that the US signed up to. NATO is specifically not there to launch attacks on other countries, specifically it is a defence organisation. So fed up with this hopeless US administration.

I did my constitutional duty today and returned one parties local election literature to them, via their handy Freepost address. It'll cost them £2.50 from their coffers when it lands at their office. Don't worry, I wrote a message on the returned leaflet, so they can't re-use it. Thank me later.

I was saddened to read this. Pam took me on as a Network Director in the 90's, with no tv experience whatsoever. The all female management team (with Janet Hoenig and Sandy Maeer) were inspiring to work for and I spent 11 very happy years at TVC as a result. Not a known name, but what a tv legend.

The US president, the one with bone spurs and no military record, also appears to have no knowledge about his own countries combat action within NATO, let alone the ultimate sacrifice of hundreds of service personal from the other countries supporting them. Appalling conduct from a convicted felon.

I guess when Trumple said he could sort out the Ukraine/Russia war in one day, he just forgot which day he was talking about. It's time the world put him to one side and stopped trying to appease the orange idiot.

23 of the items on the homepage of the BBC News App are about Charlie Kirk. 23 separate items. Who is making that choice? Spend a little less time creating all of those and you might have time to host a BBC News feed here on Bluesky.

Just wondering exactly how many times "Guinness" will be name checked, and therefore advertised, on this mornings #BBCBreakfast? Let alone have their logo plastered all over the telly. Their marketing team know exactly what they are doing when it comes to unchecked free credits.

I do love the choices you can make on here... especially "muted" text and tags. Months ago I added three words to the list... today my Discovery feed has been a joy because of one of those muted words. 😁

Just enjoyed the conclusion of season 2 of #TraitorsNZ, just screening here in the UK. Brilliant viewing and hat's off to a master host in Paul Henry, a wonderful mix of hilarious and slightly deranged!

Great night at the Grand Jury Final at the #ESC in Basel last night. No spoilers, you'll have to watch the real thing tonight... but I will just say that Nemo has visited a hardware store in preparation.
