Spoilers for #DungeonMasters One encounter stuck with me because it showed how good #DND can be when the problem is physical, weird, and not automatically combat-shaped. More sinking-ship energy. Fewer “now fight the thing” solutions. What’s your favourite non-combat encounter? #TTRPG

The bigger thing for me with #DungeonMasters was the structure. It felt very set-piece driven: problem appears, party solves it, carriage to the next encounter. Polished, yes. But I wanted more room for players to push the story somewhere unexpected. How much agency do you expect? #DND

Finished WotC’s #DungeonMasters actual play last night. I enjoyed the story overall, but was surprised by the little rules/ruling deviations that seemed to pass through. Maybe I notice it more because it’s official Wizards, but it stood out. How much do rules slips bother you? #DND #TTRPG

I think I got as close to an encore as I'll ever get last night. My #Oneshot that turned into a player agency exercise ended with the players wrecking the place and I was going to let them walk off into the sunset, but they've asked me to run the next #DND session next week. #TTRPG

Hey #TTRPGCommunity why do people want to play evil characters?

To overcome the issue with Faerie Fire on the Artificer Cartographer subclass we are going to trial a #DND #Homebrew I created "Highlight". A bonus action spell using the style of a divine smite from the paladin to remove the save or suck from the equation. Hoping to #Playtest it tonight.

Has anybody else tried the #DND2024 Cartographer Subclass? I've jumped in with both feet at Level 8 and first combat I tried my signature faerie fire out. It was a little underwhelming... ok I mean a lot. The #DM gave me a pity blow with my chicken frier Homunculus to make up for it. #DND #TTRPG

I got a request from my #FLGS last night to run a #oneshot in a couple of weeks. Does anybody have a self-contained #DND encounter with pre-gen characters and a killer story for 2024 rules, for 6 unexpected players I can use? Happy to playtest and provide feedback
