So the Sons of Anarchy spinoff is going to be sort of like a mashup of "The French Mistake" and "The Real Ghostbusters" episodes of Supernatural? Where they're at a convention, and everyone plays themselves? I mean, I'm keeping an open mind, but it's kind of been done before.

My freezer has an ice maker & I guess the default is ON, because there's only an Ice OFF button. When ice is OFF the indicator light ON - a tiny ice bucket with the word OFF inside. I know this because I had to wear my reading glasses & put my face right up to it to read it. Who designs this stuff?

Just got my 1st political poll phone call of the yr. On my landline (I'm an old). Immediately felt like the questions leaned right, but the caller was polite & it only took about ten minutes. Wonder how many more I'll get in the next three weeks. One yr I answered a dozen before I stopped picking up

Starting at 8pm central tonight via twitch.tv/djjakerudh, I play 5+ hours of classic alternative music videos spotlighting The Cure. Hits, deep cuts, b-sides, rarities, side projects, live material, etc Tonight’s show is for the BIGGEST Cure fans!

Just finished Lizzie Borden. Yawn. Could have been great. Sets/costumes 🖤. No need for 8 eps. Acting either flat or melodramatic. Some questionable casting. Had I noticed it was R Murphy I'd have passed. Storyline w/ S Paulson not needed. Don't call it Lizzie Borden if 1/2 is about someone else.

Just got notification that I DON'T have to be in Philly at 8:30am Tuesday for federal jury duty and it's like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. This was my second summons in 18 months Back into the jury pool I go!

Anyone watch Silo? Spoiler maybe - Why wasn't Juliette neutralized when she went out to clean? (Other than the show would be over) Was it because she wasn't expected to survive? But then why not do it on her way back when no one was expecting her? Because they thought they'd just make her forget?

This scared me. Saddened me. Angered me. Made me feel helpless. Then gave me a glimmer of hope. WE WILL NEED TO DO MORE THAN JUST VOTE. We need to search out the other good ones in our communities and support them. Strengthen them. Join them. Fight alongside them. THIS IS WORTH A READ TO THE END

I’m once again thrilled to be your captain for our first virtual Yacht Rock cruise on Twitch tonight at twitch.tv/djjakerudh from 8 PM–1 AM CT, where I’ll be playing nothing but the smoothest hits from the ‘70s and ‘80s, along with era-defining pop culture gems. Come aboard, we’re expecting you! 🌊

After all these years, tonight I finally got to see Toad the Wet Sprocket. ❤️ They sounded really good, and for a couple hours I remembered what 25 felt like. If you're thinking about seeing Toad this summer, do it. Plus they've got an acoustic tour coming back around in the Fall. I'm so there.

Things to do tonight! Make sure you doors are secure and your gates are closed and locked. Make sure your pet has an ID attached to their collar, and that they are secure and can’t get out. More pets go missing this weekend than at any other time of the year. Don’t let your pet become a statistic!

No billionaires means None. Not even young pretty ones who "earned" the money. They all think they earned the money. Donating millions to charities doesn't offset the damage of extreme wealth. I hope people understand what they're gawking at this weekend at MSG.

Every single lawmaker that’s calling for their constituents to “be responsible with electricity usage” during the extreme heat had better be supporting heavy restrictions on data centers.

Counterpoint: expecting absolutely pinpoint accuracy and crystal ball foreknowledge of meteorological behaviour is incredibly foolish and ignorant, especially as we proceed into the climate disaster era. Do these people take the batteries out of their smoke detectors, too?

I love that The Cure is pulling out songs that haven't been played live in over a decade, hopefully that continues but this really is the beginning of the end, isn't it? Clock is ticking, see them while you still can

When I make a mistake, it usually means forgetting my keys — not accidentally funding a private prison.

My husband thinks it's pathological lying, but a lot of it seems like confabulation. My dad had a stroke & he could hold a totally normal conversation and then suddenly with no warning the things he was saying were completely untrue. Not intentionally. But only people who knew him realized it

We read books & poetry because they enlarge us. They expand our thinking, our empathy, our connectedness. Art reminds us of why we live: for beauty, for wonder, for understanding. Though our culture may say otherwise, these are vital & necessary. They sustain us.

If the Oscars want to save time, instead of rudely cutting off people at the pinnacle of their careers trying to say thank you, maybe cut some of the stupid "comedy"
