"Originally, we have nothing" People are born with nothing and die with nothing. Even if you lose something important, you have simply returned to your true self. This thinking way is that there is no need to be afraid of losing something or lament what you have lost.

From today's readings: "Some luck lies in not getting what you thought you wanted, but getting what you have, which once you have got it you may be smart enough to see is what you would have wanted had you known." -Garrison Keillor

Serious thought to consider: If the cause of autism truly is genetic in nature, could it be related to one or more of the toxic forever chemicals we've been swimming in since the 1940's? I'm thinking of DuPont and 3m with their PFAS and PFOA chemicals in particular.

Life with miscreant kittens. A story for #TheCampfire 1/ Now, I was a dog person. Over half a century I had been a dog dad of a Cocker, a Shepard, 3 Weimers and a GSP. After the last one had passed, I swore off pets. Until one day I adopted/rescued a cat from my secretary.

8/ Fucknuckle managed to escape the entrapment he'd caused himself and sought out his mum for comfort. Piss and Vinegar proceeded to shred the remains of the bag while Tom looked on before returning to his spot on the windowsill leaving me to cleanup the debris field.

6/ After about the 10th lap round the house, he attracted notice from the others, who proceeded to sit in line watching the show. Cheering him on each time he'd pass in review. The plastic bag fwapping more and more each lap.

7/ After another 10 laps or so, the other two kittens decided to join in. As he'd run past them, they started to try and hit the fwapping bag. First tentatively, then after another few laps, pouncing on it as it passed by. It took them awhile, but they managed to deflate it and end the fwapping.

4/ You know, those flimsy plastic ones from Wal-Mart. He was crawling in and out of it, and of course, eventually fell off the table with it. The handles wrapped around his middle. On the way to the floor, the bag inflated like a parachute. Against his bum. This was not acceptable. So, he ran.

5/ This caused the bag to inflate even more. To the point it started to make a sound like when we'd closepin a baseball card to the spokes of a bike wheel. Fwap, Fwap, Fwap, Fwap. His reaction? Run faster. Result? More fwapping of the bag that was chasing him round and round the house.

2/ He and I got on swimmingly. Such that when my daughter needed to re-home her black cat named "13", I said sure. Figuring it was a big house and Tom could use some company when I was off on trips. What she failed to mention to me was that "13" was preggers. Soon I was a cat dad to FIVE of them.

3/ Tom, as senior, ruled the kingdom as much as he could. "13" was just herself. However, her brood was into everything. To the point where I had affectionately named them "Piss", "Vinegar" and "Fucknuckle". One day, coming home from shopping, Fucknuckle decided to explore one of the empty bags.
