Released in the aftermath of the Chansiri takeover, Maghoma joined Birmingham and spent several years at St Andrews before having a spell in India and finishing up in non league at Hemel Hempstead Town

Signed on a free from Burton after being in the League Two team of year and an integral part of the Brewers side Maghoma’s tenure left you wanting more,some games he looked unplayable,others you didn’t notice he was there His finest hour came in a win at Millwall assisting all 3 Owls goals

Capable of the sublime and the stupid often within seconds of each other,Nuhiu divided opinion at S6 with some fans loving the enigmatic striker whilst others hated him Signed from Austrian side Rapid Vienna, Nuhiu was never really seen as the main goalscorer but chipped in

SkellowOwl 🟦⬜️🦉

His goals were often on highlight reels, few forget a sublime bit of trickery against Preston or his goal to spoil Watford’s promotion party He left in the midst of the pandemic and had a spell in Cyprus before returning to Austria where he is now on the coaching staff at SCR Altach

Anyway if we can support the new fellow whoever it is and get past this false entitlement that we deserve something because we’re Sheffield Wednesday and not have a meltdown at every setback We might have hope Up the Owls 🦉

No joy in this statement by the club But the right man to steer you through a crisis is not necessarily the right man to take you forward Henrik Pedersen has probably had one of the craziest reigns in Hillsborough history and always showed a quiet dignity no matter how tough things were

I am curious as to what happened in the summer to transform an element of our fanbase who said “I dont mind what happens as long as I have a club” into entitled bellends who believe we deserve success just because we are Sheffield Wednesday.

Signed on a free from Turkish side Basaksehir,Zayatte was familiar to English football having played with Hull but his spell at S6 was disrupted with injuries,loss of form and personal issues all of which meant Owls fans never saw the best of the Guinean defender before his 2015 release

Another in the “would have been a great signing in 2003”,Howard arrived on loan from Hartlepool not far short of his 37th birthday Nevertheless he did make a contribution to the survival effort scoring one of the goals as the Owls defeated Middlesbrough to secure their Championship status

SkellowOwl 🟦⬜️🦉
@skellowowl.bsky.social

Howard had worked his way up the system from Tow Law Town and made his name at Luton as he was part of the excellent Hatters side of the early to mid 2000s before million pound moves to Derby and Leicester before finishing his career at Hartlepool

Been some right tantrums since about 9.30pm last night The Owls were shocking,no argument - credit to Notts County,far better side on the night and a deserved win But all this “I told you so” by “fans” who appear to want us to fail so they can be proved right is so fucking frustrating

Signed for a month from Bolton to regain match fitness after having played just a handful of games in two years Holden did a decent job in his brief stint at S6 earning a recall to the USMNT,however his knee couldn’t hold up to the demand of professional football and he called it a day in 2016

Signed on loan from Hull and later on a short term deal,Olofinjana would have been a great signing in 2008 but sadly by 2013 his best days were behind him and the strong midfielder who once played for Wolves was a shadow of his former self once he arrived at S6

SkellowOwl 🟦⬜️🦉
@skellowowl.bsky.social

Dave Jones trusted him and he started the majority of his games but his short term deal was not renewed and after a short stint in Norway he retired and moved into the front office serving as sporting director at Grasshopper before becoming Head of Chelsea’s African scouting network

Loaned on three separate occasions,Wickham’s presence was always welcome at S6 with his most impactful spell being 8 goals in 11 games as the Owls began a climb out of trouble under Stuart Gray However injuries stalled his progress and he never hit the heights he could have

Sheffield Wednesday 25/26 - 29 league goals in the entirety of the season Sheffield Wednesday 26/27 - 20 league goals after 9 games, yes Wimbledon and Bromley count for 12 of them but it’s a positive

5-0 is a solid result We scored at the right time,Wimbledon had a little spell and the crowd were beginning to get restless Once we did score we were in control and won convincingly Heskey seems to be coming into his own and appears to have put on some bulk

SkellowOwl 🟦⬜️🦉
@skellowowl.bsky.social

Al-Hamadi needs a goal,made some intelligent runs where either the final ball was lacking or the potential supplier preferred to try and take it on themselves Wimbledon overall were poor but got to get the job done And if any sadsacks were wanting us to lose so HP would lose his job,have a word

With the Owls struggling for goals in 12/13,Jones dipped into the loan market to sign Lita who had fallen out of favour at Swansea He made an immediate impact netting a late winner on his debut at Charlton and over the remaining weeks he endeared himself to Wednesday fans with his “M” celebration

SkellowOwl 🟦⬜️🦉
@skellowowl.bsky.social

But more importantly his six goals proved vital in ensuring the clubs survival in the Championship After returning to Swansea,Lita’s career became that of a journeyman never staying in one place for too long and having brief spells in Greece and Thailand before dropping into non league

Arriving at S6 on loan from Leeds,the left sided Pugh was a regular presence in the side for the second half of 12/13 impressing with his assured displays on the left A permanent deal wasn’t really talked about and after finishing his playing days at Port Vale,he transitioned into coaching

Known as a handful up front and a part of Tony Pulis’ Stoke side that got promoted to the top flight Sidibé came to Hillsborough on loan in an attempt to gain fitness after having nearly two years without first team football, he was a shadow of what had been before but did net the winner at Bolton

Signed on loan from Manchester City for two spells and later permanently, Hélan was a predominantly left sided player who had his moments in an Owls shirt but probably didn’t fulfil his promise He was involved in a bizarre incident where he was booked twice and not sent off at Huddersfield

SkellowOwl 🟦⬜️🦉
@skellowowl.bsky.social

Once Carlos Carvalhal arrived, he often rotated Hélan with other left backs and Hélan was even loaned out to Wolverhampton in the latter stages of 15/16 being recalled in April He retired in the early stages of 2016/17 to pursue religious fulfilment having fallen out of love with football

I have seen posts in recent days accusing referees of corruption and bias, I feel as a football fan that’s a dangerous path to be treading You can doubt the referees competence, I have done many a time but you shouldn’t doubt a referee and his/her integrity
