The Pokemon movie marathon continues! I've always loved this one. But May's my favorite PokeGirl, so I'm biased. Check out my ★★★½ review of Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea on Letterboxd! boxd.it/gZqPdT

boxd.itA ★★★½ review of Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea (2006)The new dub team clearly went through some growing pains here, but by focusing on May and her relationship with Manaphy, this final film from Advanced Generation still manages to end with a bit more e...

China’s first AI-generated theatrical film, ‘Sanxingdui: Future Past’, has bombed at their domestic box office, only making $121,000 USD against a budget of $1.5M USD. In contrast, the crudely animated ‘Niu Lai’ made nearly $10M USD against a budget of $200-500 USD.

Got my Narnia preorder in. Unless there's a surprise announcement, this means I will have succeeded in buying every single Disney 4K release in 2026. It was a fun experiment, but probably not one I'll repeat in the future. I can't wait to make a video showing off the journey!

I've been bombarded with text messages the last few weeks from political campaigns that think I still live in Texas. They suck. We just experienced YET ANOTHER mass shooting that left CHILDREN DEAD. Oh but god forbid we vote for somebody who might (GASP) force us to register our guns! Screw you.

With Dune Part Three just a couple of months away, I decided now's as good a time as any to watch the others leading up to it. I have NOT been disappointed so far! Check out my ★★★★★ review of Dune on Letterboxd! boxd.it/gT4nth

‘Coyote vs. Acme’ has officially surpassed ‘Supergirl’ ($126M) worldwide, making it the summer’s highest-grossing film produced by Warner Bros. But it’s distributor Ketchup Entertainment benefiting from its theatrical release.

I FINALLY found the time to watch another horror film for the first time. This one was disappointing. I apologize to all the fans, but I am not one of them. Check out my ★½ review of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre on Letterboxd! boxd.it/gRCM7Z

boxd.itA ★½ review of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)Maybe it's because I'm not a horror connoisseur but... I didn't like this one. The first 20 minutes made me uncomfortable. Franklin is completely insufferable to the point where I wanted him to die mo...

I called this MONTHS ago, btw--albeit, I guessed all three films would get a 4K release, not just this one, but hey, I'll take it! This is the best one anyway. bsky.app/profile/skul...

I've seen a rumor that Disney has four more 4K restorations coming out this year that have not yet been announced. Considering Netflix's Narnia film is releasing this December, I am making an official educated guess that Disney will be releasing their Narnia trilogy in 4K later this year.

Mail call! I now own EVERY single Oscar winner for Best Animated Film, and all of them are in the highest quality possible (21 4K, 3 Blu-ray)! Of course, this will only last for 3 weeks, until KPop Demon Hunters releases from Criterion. I will be ready!

I am proud--I am HONORED--to add this 4K Steelbook of Project Hail Mary to my collection. Make no mistake: THIS is the best film of 2026, and one of the greatest movies of all time. Everyone should see this at least once!

The Powerball is up over half a billion. I've never bought a ticket and I never will, but it's always fun to think about what I would do with that money. Surprisingly, I wouldn't spend much on myself. My first reaction would be to work on reducing homelessness and start a free college.

Skul
@skul.bsky.social

Like, literally, I would set people up in apartments and pre-pay their lease for a full year. Most of them just need a permanent place to live to get started. And a free college would work so well: As long as your grades are good, you can stay. It doesn't take much money for this stuff.

I think we can now tell what the REAL reason they cancelled Spider-Noir after a single season despite it doing numbers and the showrunner having ideas for season 2 was.

I cannot believe the number of people I'm seeing praising the new Skydance merger. "At least David Elison is a film fan." "At least they'll still give us physical media." "At least movies will still get a theatrical release." SO WHAT?! Have you seen who's in charge now?!

There are SO many great songs from SO many great movies to choose from, but I have to give it to The Circle of Life from The Lion King. The second the film starts and this song permeates your senses, you KNOW you're about to witness a masterpiece.
