Sorry for not sharing much. Hard to find motivation for myself. But I'm still trying things out. So in this thread gonna share a bit what I've been up to I'm still practicing images and sometimes they come out well

Finally, I've been practicing my gestures every 1-2 days for about a month. Am excited to see so much improvement over a short period of time. So yeah, good stuff coming up even if a little slow right now

Other times, they don't go as planned. I started to draw Skulb dancing but it was just too complicated. The timing was off and not really music to play with it. Ended up with this half baked jumping sprite

It's sort of related but I do find it amusing that this Bluesky topic atlas puts my posts in the kobold comfort culture. Which yeah, I guess I ended up making lots of cozy art. I guess I rather focus on the things that make me happy than all my problems.

I wanted to show off Shiver's new back scales. I thought it be fun to do it in the smallest canvas of 50x50 pixels. Not only does it work but just happy how well this turned out. #kobold #pixelart #sprite #spriteart #furryart

You can go back to my older art and his design changes a lot. But lately, I've been more consistent in my style. So one of the things I really wanted to do is nail a more detail design. And boy was that a really hard choice.

Turns out, all I really wanted is another shade of blue so I can run his body colors through the cracks of his scales. While I like him having lots of spikes, I still need to be able to draw him and still be readable. So this is the best I got. Really happy how he looks now.

Guess I'll just talk about this character's design philosophy now that threads are a thing. Shiver I made to be an evil looking dragon cause it looks cool. Blue's my favorite color so he's everything I like. Problem is I like too many parts on dragons and kobolds. So I never had a solid ref sheet

I'm mostly joking. My professor was a comic book artist for one of the batman comics. He showed us that we should take our gestures and turn them into anything including cartoons. So in a way this is a thank you for him giving me this idea.

My mind has been on wanting to improve on my art. It's becoming increasingly clear I need to have better understanding of shapes/anatomy for animations. In the meantime have these two kobold sketches. Blue one was me practicing colors and the other was testing a potential opaque line tool

Had a really rough week trying to work on this. Somehow I got a grove last night as I let some chiptunes play and just placed the art pixel by pixel. So yeah. Jam on little kobold. Your joy helped me to finish you #kobold #furryart #pixelart

I've been thinking what Shiver, my blue kobold, should look like. Turns out past me figured it out about a year ago that I forgot I drew this. And I don't believe I shared this here!? This was one of the best drawings I made that captures all his details perfectly.

I like having designs that carry over to other bodies. There are so many scale patterns I could use that I get overwhelmed picking them. So I struggle to commit This drawing is what reminded me of the previous drawing. Not as spikye but an accurate depiction of his dragon form

I worked on this animation about once a week for the whole month. A new lifelong goal of pushing it's quality as far as I could. I learned so much and I'm really proud of it's results. #kobolds #pixelart #furry

Lately, drawing after working for 10 hours has been a struggle. So I tried drawing on my lunch brake. It was so relaxing! It's going to speed up finishing the mass commission sooner. Also these are my totally original lizard brother characters. pls donot steal
