Later on setup night my card reader would not connect to the internet during testing, and I lost hours of sleep before the company let me know they were having issues with their provider, and then early today the fire alarm went off at 7.30am in our hotel and I found out my phone wouldn't charge 😂

You would not believe the day I've just had. Broke my phone by falling on my butt, but was treated extremely nicely by my friend's barista coworkers and somehow got the phone repaired for cheap and then sped off to MCM to set up

Again, super lucky this happened in London though so I could find a new one... before 8am on a Sunday. And that my old phone lasted until today and I had a friend helping me out at the table so I could sit down and make sure I didn't lose access to anything important on it

It's a little bit funny to me how I just lose all steam if a deadline is involved when making art but I will happily spontaneously spend 20+ hours working on a piece if given a chance, and that's somehow less tiring to me than a piece that takes 2 hours to make but has a due date

This is why I'm extra grateful for y'all supporting me to do my own thing. Not getting to draw a ton atm because my limited energy has to go towards other things, but when the event season and holidays are over... I'm planning to not leave my art desk for months 🔥

Worked one single day at an xmas market baklava stand after my original job at the market didn't pan out (they accidentally ended up with too much staff iirc) and I got a bit lost and stumbled across that one instead. But they wanted me to work for weeks without days off, so I skedaddled lol
