Pleased to say that my very first GameSoundCon was a resounding success! Spent time catching up with old friends, having wonderful conversations with new ones, and feeling like (dare I say it) I belong in this industry.

The response to our panels was wonderful, I had a wonderful time with our fellow panelists, and I'm happy to say that my experience was pleasant enough to warrant a second visit. Heck, maybe even a third 😉

I told Akash I would be at the panel. He assured me, multiple times, "Oh no, Star, don't worry about it, you don't have to come." I said to Sabrina earlier that day, "Oh, you're on that panel later tonight, aren't you?" She was none the wiser!!!!

They were then given just ONE MORE HOUR to redesign a video game cutscene - using at least 3 of those sounds. They presented their findings. BUT !!!! they were forewarned of SHENANIGANS !!!!

If you're familiar with Dropout and Game Changer at all, then you'll recognize the design of this poster (and you'll also understand why I can't say more 👀 ) but, for the uninitiated... expect treachory! deception! hilarity will ensue!!
