I think we need to take an honest look at the Presidential pardon power. I’m really struggling to see the value in it.

The right sets the terms of our political discourse in so many ways, one of which is the idea that there isn't enough "debate" and "free speech" on campus. We need to push back on this. The truth is (speaking for myself as a history prof), I don't really emphasize debate much in my classes/

I am my most anti-populist when it comes to the issue of politician compensation. it's not a good soundbite but members of congress should be paid like $1m annually and honestly I'd be fine with them not having to pay income tax on it, in exchange for total bans on most private investments.

Does anyone else notice that @prioritypass.bsky.social is getting worse? IAH and ORD are useless for PP even though they are the main United hubs. I used to be able to get Landrys or hop into KLM or AF, now they limit hours so much, you can’t use it.
