Was in the maths dept of the Science museum yesterday. Some of the words/phrases were so lyrical….like lines from poetry, or album names. Like,Babbage’s ‘the method of finite differences’ And ‘the electrical logic machine’ Words from a world I haven’t stepped in -they felt so fresh & sharp.
