Diesel hitting over $6 a gallon is wild. It was around $3 before this war

Raising kids is so wild. I focus a lot on providing for them and connecting with them. Wish I had more time to do the latter.

With all the negativity going on…keep the thing that keeps you inspired.

Per a new report from Senate Democrats, American farmers are now paying $1.4B — or 63% more — on diesel fuel due to the Iran War. Those higher costs will get passed onto consumers, compounded by Trump's resurrected tariffs. America is paying the price for Trump's blunders.

Judging an engineer by tokens consumed or lines of code written is like judging a writer by the length of their book

A free and democratic society cannot silence comedians because the President doesn’t like what they say. This is an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand. All elected officials need to speak up and push back on this undemocratic act.

Finally got around reading samwho.dev/big-o/ from @samwho.dev! already forwarded it to a few colleagues :) I honestly thought it'd be a more complex/taxing read so I'm super happy it wasn't at all and is actually - as all past blog posts - super well made (+visuals!!).

I’ve never seen a manager take a resignation so poorly. All signs point to this was the right decision.

One of the best things about living in the country is I can get fresh produce directly from the farms

I like bun.js, but always end up hitting a bug when I try to use it. Going back to vite for now.

Learned a lot lately about how teams approach trust in infrastructure. Sometimes the instinct is to build from scratch — even when battle-tested, scalable solutions exist. I’m looking to join a team that trusts modern tools and debates with curiosity, not fear.

Been reading man pages for years. Today, I switched to using NeoVim as my MANPAGER. The syntax highlighting alone made a huge difference. Especially when reading on screens. Honestly, I wish I'd done this sooner. What's your MANPAGER setup?
