Don’t split the vote. Vote strategically and don’t throw each other under the bus. Votewell.ca #onpoli

Doug Ford is a crook who wants to expand PRIVATE FOR-PROFIT healthcare to enrich his friends who are invested in the industry. People literally died because of him, and more will. We will get another 4 years of this bastard if the other parties don't join forces. #onpoli

Can we just see the return of the political elite please? A week into amateur hour and all we've seen is the loss of D&EI, eradication of sound policy with its and balances, and dumbo's claims that the Gaza intrusion by Israel could be solved by simply clearing out the Palestinians.

It's one thing for Trump to have gotten into office once, but despite his criminal acts, lies, hatred, lack of class and sense of decorum, there were enough people who believed in him, voted him in a second time, and will continue to sing his praises despite it all. Meanwhile, 1/3 didn't vote.

I'm with all of you, but my news feed of US news is like watching a chunks and chunks of hard-fought legislation and bilateral policy being ripped out by the day. We are witnessing why democracies should exist, but how easy they can erode in the wrong hands.

I left fb a few weeks ago for many reasons, but one of them was their decision to not share posts from Canadian news sources. Bluesky enabled me to reconnect with them, but it's a double-edged sword. For sanity's sake, intake of media needs to be regulated. My feed is overwhelmed by Trump's antics.

It's easy to reflect on how you're but a tiny speck in the grand theme of things - how your choices, be it those to help the environment, society and the greater good, can actually make a difference. However, in light of today, let us remember the value of one vote. Learn from it, fellow Canadians.

This is heartening to see! The resistance is beginning. I know we are tired. I know we are fearful. But we will make ourselves heard and reclaim this country from the grip of MAGA fascism. I’ve seen the inside of barbed wire prison camps in America. We came back from that and shall overcome this.

The People’s March is moving through the streets of Washington: “We won’t go back!” A broad coalition of activists — among them climate, women’s rights, immigration, anti-war, LGBT, D.C. statehood, racial justice — are mobilizing in unison against Trump, three days before his inauguration. 🧵

You are up to date.
