new client, insightful, motivated, and we’ve got a nice rapport cooking, but he cancels a lot and is a little extra resistant to therapy (and i hate ascribing resistance solely to the client, so you know i’m serious). the real error here was agreeing to 8am downtown in person every friday 😭

he’s also a cis white well off gay guy and i’m developing a complex about my historical inability to form solid clinical relationships with these guys. definitely willing to entertain the idea that the real resistance is my internalized homophobia 🙈
