Speaking of that album, I ended up not releasing anything on Friday because I wanted the quality to be as good as I can get it. To make it up, I’m going to try to release two pieces (character & fight theme) this Friday.

I've been struggling on his boss theme for around 3-4 weeks now lol, so hopefully maybe me doing his character theme will help with that a bit. We'll see though For now, I hope you enjoy what I've put out so far. Progress on the game is slow, but hopefully I can start working on that a bit more now

Also I swear this game isn't depressing or anything, this is just the stuff I've decided to release lol. The next couple tracks should be more upbeat

A small comparison on a track for the original rpg project I wanted to work on that got me into gamedev. Only difference between these two is 4-5 years of learning ...I'd say I've improved a lot Hoping to release some of this music soon as I work on the game! (The new stuff, obv) #gamedev #vgm

Mmmmmm 2 scam messages pretending to be bandcamp using the fan mail have popped up for me now in the past week 😔 never a real fan

Was scrolling YouTube one day and saw a Deltarune comic dub with a Rubik’s cube pattern in it and I spent a good while and even questioned if it was even possible but finally after all this time I’VE DONE ITTTTTT …apparently I’ve spent a week on this

Finished summer classes, now time to have an actual summer lol I’ll post project pages and music and whatnot as they go up (I still hate Hate HATE Unreal Engine 5 with a passion and hope I never have to touch it again)

I got annoyed with trying to redesign some characters I made like, 5-6 years ago so I ended up just shrinking them as far down as possible because it would be funny. ...Now I'm half tempted to redraw some of them in the styles of various retro consoles if I can find the time

Random thought of the day: I think it’s sad that we now have TVs that can properly utilize split screen really well, but we no longer have many local multiplayer games that do split screen anymore 😔 (at least, I can’t think of any outside of Mariokart)

Note to self, throw a lot of comments on projects you put on the backburner for several months I have no idea what me however many months ago was doing 😔 (No, I will not learn, I will not put comments, and I WILL get busy again and then randomly pick it up again)

Thought I'd share a little bit of something I've been working on. I haven't had a big chance to work on this (since I have other projects I'm working on with other people), but this is the updated version of the combat rooms for my chess-themed roguelike. #gamedev

One of the examples of limitations was in the rooms. In the original, the rooms *specifically* had to be 8x8 squares, you couldn't start the player or the enemies on unique tiles, etc. With the new system, I've implemented layers, variants, and flexible sizing to remove those limitations.

Of the three game engines I've messed with, I'm liking Unreal the least. Godot is still my favorite but I'm not sure if that's just rose tinted glasses at this point since I haven't exactly touched it for a project in 2 years now...and I've actually finished projects in unity in that time

Random Thought of the Day, but something that helps me a lot when it comes to game design, music writing, whatever, is to just come up with some form of story behind it. Doesn't have to be overly complex, but just a "what's going on" in the small amount of time this thing is seen/heard.

Normally I'd point to my music, but I've been promoting a lot of my music here, and I do other things, so instead, here's some art that I did. There's a small story here that connects this together. I might never use this art, but it was fun to just sit down and make and think "what happened here?"

Just finished playing through ULTRAKILL's Fraud not too long ago. That entire layer blew me away, it was super fun to play through. Really excited to go back through and P-Rank it when I find the time

You are up to date.
