New Podcast! I’m joined by Simon Halfon to discuss the book he co-wrote with Gary Kemp ‘1967 - The World of Brian Epstein and The Beatles’ Simon designed this beautiful book based on Brian’s address book and tells us why he chose the images he did to tell Brian’s story.

Did you notice actress/singer Kate Robbins in the concert sequence in the ‘James Paul McCartney ‘ tv show?

Next month the first episode of our brand new podcast Episode Number Nine launches, and we're going to be looking at Open All Hours. Personally I think Granville was David Jason's greatest role, and Arkwright was possibly Ronnie Barker's. Who's with me? OUT SOON! @episodenumbernine.bsky.social

@eggpod.bsky.social listened again to the McCartney ‘Tug of War’ podcast from April 2020 (with Andy Miller) over the weekend..the ‘Take it away’ promo was mentioned.. so though you’d like to see this from ‘club sandwich’ issue 27 from 1982 (assuming you’ve not already got this :)

Remembering comedy legend Peter Sellers, born #OTD 8 September 1925. He met Hancock in the RAF and the pair remained friends. Sellers appeared in an episode of Hancock's Half Hour, The Marriage Bureau, and they appeared in two films together, Orders are Orders and The Wrong Box

It’s been a brilliant series !! Mark Lewisohn gets asked ‘when’s it coming out’ ,so Chris … ‘when’s it coming back’ ?

So sad to hear about Richard O'Sullivan. Such a talent and brilliant as Robin in Man About The House, my favourite sitcom of all time. He did so much more besides, and was a reliably warm and witty presence in everything he turned up in

Saturday on the BBC apparently. What a terrific songwriter. What a cool bit of advertising! What a shame I'll be in London and I'll miss it 🤣
