✨The 2nd of 3 Witch Hat Atelier drawings - ink and drawing on paper with gold watercolor and digital color. I love doing detailed art like this, although sometimes I regret it at the time. #witchhatatelier #inkdrawing #とんがり帽子のアトリ絵 #mangaart #art #qifrey

King Bolete Mushroom - ink drawing 🍄‍🟫 This mushroom likes to grow in pine forests, so I’ve only seen them in northern Wisconsin. Aka Porchini, which you can buy dried. #mushrooms #inkdrawing #art #artober

I‘m not feeling confident about doing major art pieces with human figures based on obscure mythology. It has to somehow still be appealing to people who don’t know what it is.

Planning to more bc I‘m mostly out of stock of small originals. #art #inkdrawing #workinprogress

This shows how often I use masking fluid 😭

Clip studio ”Cat Pen Meow” test. For some reason non anti-aliased brushes feel more like actual ink. (Witch Hat Atelier sketches are just studies from manga panels) #sketchbook #スケッチ #art #ocs #イラスト #csp #drawing #animeart

I finally watched the movie after listening to the soundtrack and watching this performance numerous times. Nananana wah wah wah www.youtube.com/watch?v=enuO... #moviemusic

I highly recommend Tim Curry’s reading of Garth Nix’s books Sabriel, Lirael, and Abhorsen.

Con prep with cat help.

Makes sketching feel more epic - Lorne Balfe has at least 6 albums of this #sountracks #moviescores youtube.com/playlist?lis...

The trick is to plant squashes at the tail end of squash bug season. 🌱

Did I spend entirely too much time looking at astrological charts for my characters? Yup.

Updated stairway print wall - I finally found frames for two medium prints from @drawingkit.bsky.social

Absolutely THIS. People think a dollar or two isn't "real"support, or isn't enough and like no no, IT IS ACTUALLY SO MUCH bc it adds up! It feels like just the $1 on your end, but on our end it ends up being $10 or $100 or even $1000s A dollar goes farther than you think

Sometimes I want to make a thread of weird musical discoveries and connections. I don’t know if anyone would care.

I found a Russian fantasy book that looks interesting, from a pop song based on it. But the only thing accessible English is a very detailed summary. I’m sure auto translate would be horrible.

Please note I don’t necessarily endorse this method, but felt compelled to save this.

Conclusion - 1 and 2 is a fun exercise. Don’t try to turn to turn into 1st person without completely restarting.

I love to draw technically possible, but impractical clothing. looks great in illustrations, but for designing characters it’s harder. - would you draw this multiple times? - does it have layers? Can it be worn multiple ways? #sketchbook #スケッチ #art #ocs #イラスト #csp #drawing #animeart

Akagami no Shiroyukihime is an excellent example of characters constantly changing clothes and still being recognizable.

I suppose the least efficient way of writing is POV 1, redo with POV 2, redo 1st person.

I guess it rained and then dipped cool enough for shiitake to bloom this week 🌱

It’s been an entire year last Sunday of sketching and rewriting stories. I got a beginning, backstory and lots of sketches I don’t wanna show anyone. My biggest breakthrough lately is realizing gray doesn’t have to be boring. #sketchbook #スケッチ #art #ocs #イラスト #csp #drawing #animeart

A Luluci cosplayer bought my drawing of her at Gen Con and sent me a photo of perfectly color coordinated frame ❤️

I got a new rug last week, and Mizu looks great on it.
