Old. Tired. I like bees and chickens. I don’t abide idiocy. Kentuckian. Appalachian. Caught between the longing for love and the struggle for the legal tender.

Cipolla’s 5 Laws Of Stupidity: 1. We underestimate the # of stupid people in the world. 2. The probability that a person is stupid is independent of any other characteristic. 3. Stupid people cause harm to others w/o any gain for, & at times, damaging themselves. (Cont’d)

Anyway. Did anybody else have a chemistry set as a kid? Was just thinking about the magnificent trifold Gilbert set I used to have. There was a time when the adults in this country really trusted us not to blow the roof off the house. 😂

Writer writes article. Posts article with comment. Person reads article. Responds directly to comment, instead of article. All the smart people on this app: “HuRr DuRr DiDjA ReAd DuH ArDikKLE?” And, you people wonder why we can’t seem to get anyone to NOT think liberals are condescending fuckheads?

I’m not sure I understand what “fight” means in the context Liberals use it. March for it? Yell while wearing pussy hats for it? Sign wave for it? Because, where I’m from “fight” means you hit a motherfucker. So, what are you asking me to do, SPECIFICALLY?

LISTEN to Barack Obama: The most important office in this democracy is the citizen. Freedom tomorrow is not a given—it has to be fought for.

These motherfuckers have no idea that one can just click over to Teh Googler and write: “Was the economy better when Trump left office or when Biden left office” and get a whole boat load of them fancy webbin’ sights to read.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Rick Scott: "When Trump left office in the beginning of '21, we had a great economy. The Biden administration and Democrats ruined it." 🙃🥴🙃🥴🙃🥴

I can’t general strike because Of the way my ethics and client abandonment works. But, maybe the rest of you can. Good luck.👍

The General Strike! Read about it, sign the strike card, pass it on (on all your socials, word-of-mouth, everywhere!). Follow @generalstrikeus.bsky.social for updates! generalstrikeus.com

Republicans crow and beat their chests about participation trophies and winning/losing but are the biggest bunch of sore losing crybaby bitches this side of the cosmos.

The New York Times@nytimes.com

Breaking News: Thousands of voters must verify their eligibility or have their ballots in the 2024 North Carolina Supreme Court race thrown out, a court ruled, a win for the Republican candidate who narrowly lost the election in November and challenged the result.

What’s worse? Soon he’ll begin to operate the scheme that way because the lie will become his reality and then it really will be a mess of epic proportions.

Sure he shared a video that says he’s doing it on purpose. It’s been weeks of “Sir, are you doing this because you’re a stupid motherfucker or is there a plan?” lobbed at him. His ego can’t take it. So, he’s now going to pretend this is all part of the plan.

Trump’s, Rubio’s, and JD’s panic reactions to China’s retaliation tells me this was NOT in their playbook. So, if crashing the economy was their goal, it wasn’t their goal to crash it *this* particular way. The weak men are about to create hard times.

SHUT THE FUCK UP, DONNY! YOU’RE OUT OF YOUR ELEMENT!

Caught off guard by China’s retaliation to his tariff, Trump fired off a furious response to the news that China is slapping 34% tariffs on all goods imported from the U.S. “CHINA PLAYED IT WRONG, THEY PANICKED - THE ONE THING THEY CANNOT AFFORD TO DO!” he posted Friday morning. #FAFO #TrumpTariff

search.appTrump Rages as China Strikes Back With Major Trade War Retaliation“CHINA PLAYED IT WRONG,” the president thundered in an all-caps screed.

Why I don’t give a fuck if Biden was senile: 1.) He cared about this country & its people. 2.) He cared about service people. 3.) He tried to do the best he could for the most people. 4.) He treated our allies w/ respect. 5.) He tried to leave the country better than he found it.

It wouldn’t have mattered if people had gotten off their asses to vote for Kamala Harris. Money doesn’t do shit, if the people will do their job. Wisconsin proved that.

Robert Reich@rbreich.bsky.social

100 billionaire families spent $2.6 billion in the 2024 election. 70% of these donations went to Republicans. Now, Republicans in Congress are gearing up to slash essential programs to pay for another round of tax cuts for the rich. This is what oligarchy looks like.

It’s almost like treating a country like a business is a bad idea or something. Whodathunkit? Oh, right. Everyone who voted for VP Harris.

Anna Bower@annabower.bsky.social

Wow who could’ve guessed that this would happen It’s almost as if USAID was a pillar of American soft power and influence in the world It’s almost as if it was entirely predictable that America’s adversaries would work to fill the void left by USAID’s destruction

I can help. Law firms exist to make as much money as humanly possible and are not noble institutions of justice and liberty. They will bend and spread or bow and curtsey for who/whatever will keep from affecting the bank account. Do not look to lawyers for protection from authoritarianism.

Randi Mayem Singer@rmayemsinger.bsky.social

I'd like @nealkatyal.bsky.social to explain this. Like NOW.

It’s gonna be like: “Hurr durr, launch all nuke-ya-ler missiles at Antarctica to destroy Vladimir Penguin.”

OldCodgerOfAppalachia@softshellthac0.bsky.social

Think they tried to teach Chat GPT “Putin” and it thought they meant “Penguin” and that’s why it tariffed that island? Skynet’s gonna go self aware and be like this:

OMFG. Then can we ask him and Pete Kegseth how they plan to handle the aggression from Latveria?

Franklin Leonard@franklinleonard.bsky.social

I will pay a journalist $100 if they manage to get an answer from Trump on whether there's a danger in his levying further tariffs on Wakanda if they don't begin fairly trading vibranium with the US.

Jesus. We’re Saruman, aren’t we?

Acyn@acyn.bsky.social

Carney: The system of global trade anchored on the United States.. is over. Our old relationship of steadily deepening integration with the United States is over. The 80 year period when the United States embraced the mantle of economic leadership… is over.

I know they say keep your friends close and your enemies closer, and if if that’s what Trump is doing with Russia, I just wish he’d make it a little more “keep them closer” and not so much “Suck the chrome off their trailer hitches.”

It’s okay. Politics does them. When cars aren’t moving off the lot and the floor plan payments are eating them up, maybe they’ll learn to be a little more aware.

Rachel Vindman@natsechobbyist.bsky.social

Just thinking about a fellow school parent who told me they “don’t do politics” but they own a car dealership.

When we eat the rich, I’m feeding this prick to the buzzards. I’d like to think Americans will learn a very hard lesson by the end 2028 and that they won’t make this kind of dumbass mistake again.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Lutnick: "Donald Trump understands America. He understands American workers, and he understands national security. And thank goodness he's gonna protect us."

Umm. Well. Republicans are — how shall I put this so as to not offend? Ah. Yes. Fucking liars.

Politico@politico.com

Republicans say efficiencies will save Medicaid. Dems say that's not possible. “We just simply don’t have that much money,” Rep. Diana DeGette, the top Dem on a key health care panel, told us today.
