If you're seeing this and you don't me, HI! 👋 I'm ACY and I make music for games. When I'm not doing that, I'm doing probably daft stuff like the video above. I also have a new album on the way, and the hot sax above will be on it (and loads of other madness too) 🎷💖 bsky.app/profile/alph...

Hi! 👋 I'm ACY, a composer from Belfast, and I'm out here making vibey music for cool games and your stereos 💿✨ Here's a bit about what I do Any and all shares greatly appreciated! 💝

Just bought a Kindle so I can read some more independent authors, and holy crap the Kindle is basically a storefront for Amazon first, then a sluggish reading platform second, right? I have a Kobo. That thing is *fast* in comparison to this sluggish brute, and it promotes the books I *have*.

Accidentally discovering this guy's music during COVID has got to be the best experiences of my life. And playing Promise Mascot Agency was such a blast in a time of bad videogame industry era. Can't wait to see what @alphachromeyayo.com and @kaizengameworks.com cook up next!

Starting work on a new game OST today and man, it's always my favourite bit Total blank canvas, going through a cool deck of references and influences, soaking in 'em, ideas coagulating in my brain, heap of mad sounds coming out my monitors... MAKES ME FEEL ALIVE

Yesterday I went to see Resident Evil in IMAX, and I walked away kind of hating it. I went again to see it today (no IMAX) and I actually realised how much I enjoyed the film. Two thirds of the film is absolute peak RE in terms of vibes, but the last third lets it down by being too L4D & Sam Reimi.

The ending is too abrupt for my liking and the last 15 minutes really does feel overly cheesey in a yakety-sax sort of way. Which is fine, but the first two thirds of the film was tonally excellent (if a bit too funny) and I wish the last 15 mins really held onto that.

I've been hard at work toiling in the jazz mines, cooking up some fuzzy, funky vibes with a bunch of my favourite instruments Real smooth cocktail hour shit! Here's a taste 🎷💖

I've realised I haven't done a book update in quite some time!! 🤯 * Slags by Emma Jane Unsworth: Absolutely beautiful. One of my recent favs * The Expansion Project by Ben Pester - quirky sci fi, severance meets backrooms * Several People Are Typing by Calvin Kalsuke - s'alright #books #booksky

* Morning Star by Pierce Brown - Absolutely Phenomenal, another favourite of mine * Blood Ties by Emma Tallon - wasn't my thing, sadly! * No Escape by Casey Kelleher - Now we're talking! Has some real political themes behind it in a short story!

* It's Not What You Think by Clare Mackintosh - I really enjoyed this one. As a south asian man, the themes resonated with me. I found the Sri Lankan character a bit 2D, but it's fine. It's not offensive or anything. Great twists.

I'm in a book reading slump, and by that I mean I can't stop myself from reading every insignificant detail about GTA 6.

I see someone has read Tender is the Flesh

Finished Well of Ascension. I wish I enjoyed it as much as Mistborn but it felt quite slow paced, and the first half of the book had some issues I found frustrating. However, the second half of the book more than makes up for it and I did eventually enjoy WoA. #books #booksky #mistborn

Finished Brave New World. I enjoyed the first couple of chapters and the last couple of chapters. The stuff in the middle was pretty much "promiscuous women bad" which - look, I get it was written in 1930s, but some things need to stay in the 1930s. #books #booksky
