I think one reason that the Ugli Orange Fruit has suddenly changed his tune about mail in voting is because of the USPS new rules that will slow down mail delivery. There are many arrows in Ugli’s quiver to create election mayhem & election officials (& all of us) need to be on high alert.

Call me negative, but when it comes to divining trump’s motives, I believe that he may be crass & amoral but not as stupid as we may believe. IMHO, all this fawning over dictators is in the hope that when accountability comes calling, he can repair to China, etc. without fear of extradition.

Ever since Trump asked the crowd to swear to cheat to get out the vote, I’ve been trying to recall where I saw a similar farce…finally I got it - in a scene from the Big Bang Theory, Sheldon gets drunk, reveals top secret information, & then makes the bar patrons pinky swear to secrecy. Anyone?

Speaking of the WSJ article about trump’s shakedown for millions from certain companies, one wonders where these publicly traded firms are hiding these bribes-oops, outlays to the “boss” and how the shareholders feel about this misuse of their $.

When I heard of Graham’s passing, a quote (that we all know) from ‘The End’ by the Beatles immediately came to mind: “…and in the end, the love we take is equal to the love we make.” In other words, supporting an amoral despot has consequences for one’s legacy.

Trump’s boasting about his grift is his own particular brand of narcissism (even if it implicates him crimes). He considers his newfound mega-wealth a reflection of his brilliance and strength.

Alito really needs to be disbarred after his sycophantic recitation of trump’s assertion that counting mail in votes after election day leads to fraud. It has been proven time & again that there amount of fraud in our elections is infinitesimal despite counting mail in votes counted post election.

The majority of the Taney Court that decided the Dred Scott decision is looking more and more like the Roberts Court. If we continue down this path, the Constitution will be renamed the “Unitary Executive is the Law of the United States.” I am so disgusted.

I am astonished that Congressional republicans seem surprised that trump gave away the farm in the Iran MOU. I have to believe that they are just pretending to be surprised, liars that they are. (If any truly believed that trump would work the “magic” he never had, he or she is delusional.)

I am thinking of changing my voter registration from democratic to independent or republican so that when my vote isn’t automatically thrown out when the republicans interfere with the midterms. (Also, so I won’t be shot when I present myself at the polls to vote.)

I find it so curious that trump ran on releasing the Epstein files. Was he so self-deluded that he thought (1) no one would suspect that he played a role in the trafficking given that he cleverly had ratted out his buddy Jeff to the FL authorities or (2) it wouldn’t matter once he was king?

This morning when the Pentagon had a shelter in place order, I imagined that the top military brass would have liked to have access to the Situation Room, but it was already occupied with cabinet members discussing cover-up of Epstein matters.

Trump is so demented that he doesn’t remember his mistakes (like taking the advice of Putin or Netanyahu instead of his national security team) &, even if he could remember, his massive narcissism converts any such memory into a stroke of brilliance on his part - problematic, to state the obvious.

Once upon a time, in a land not so far away, there was a nation that actually cared about the struggles of its people. But a cosmic shift occurred & the land devolved into chaos, poverty, war & despair. But soon the people rose up to defeat greed, war & chaos & took back the nation for the people.

ENOUGH! We need to have a serious discussion of holding the corrupt congressional republicans accountable in addition to voting them out of office. At minimum they need to disgorge every penny (including ill-gotten insider trading gains) they’ve made during this session.

The “anti-anti-weaponization” fund may be on the chopping block but is the IRS tax immunity agreement part of that jeopardy? It was added in after Don trumpleone’s non-case case was withdrawn. Why doesn’t this violate the equal protection clause? Why shouldn’t I or any U.S. citizen get that deal?

No one - least of all an idiot like Blanche- has the authority to give away the U.S. taxpayers’ rights to a fair & impartial tax system - it’s an equal protection issue. No one is above the law unless everyone is!

The $1.8m slush fund is horrific, but this business about never going after trump, etc. is WAY too broad. There has to be a way around it. For instance, the law of many states requires that a noncompete has to be limited in terms of the time period. Another analogy is the rule against perpetuities…

While we are feeling the outrage over trump’s $1.8B slush fund for his private militia, we shouldn’t forget about the $1.25M to Michael Flynn and Carter Page (both of whom entered guilty pleas if my memory serves me…)

Trump’s main takeaway from his meetings with Xi is that now they are “friends” (perhaps pals?) Trump is a colossal embarrassment to all Americans - including (and especially) congressional republicans. Have they no shame? Don’t they realize that he’s making them (and all of us) look like fools?

Some commentators have said that trump is not grifting for himself with the $1.7B “fund” he wants to settle his IRS suit. Leaving aside the qu. of whether he can financially, the funds can be used to reward his private militia for protecting him and perhaps ensure he never has to surrender power.

It just occurred to me that in the Greek & Roman myth about Narcissus, he was so in love with himself, that died while staring at his reflection in a pool. How ironic is it that our Narcissist-in-chief spends hours on end talking about the reflecting pond at the Lincoln memorial?

So now we’re sending Iran a trifle? A custard dessert? President Malaprop strikes again. Oh, and the ceasefire holds even though we’re firing missiles into Iran (and black is white?) The children of Iran will remember this when they’re older…

To John Roberts & your scotus henchmen: All your pearl clutching over the well-deserved disrespect of the court was, like you, a fraud. You are the epitome of white “Christian” nationalism, & your attempts to put lipstick on that pig have failed. History will not be kind to you.

Looks like baby-doc-trump is at it again with the NC indictment of Jim Comey for a photo of shells on a NC beach & posting it on his instagram. The tryouts for AG are heating up - score: Blanche - 1, democracy (& the standing of the U.S. among world democracies) - 0.

During Trump 1, I read that Sec’y. Mattis slept with 1 eye open so he could catch Trump if he tried to use the nuclear codes-is someone doing that now?? This is our hair-on-fire, break-glass moment- 25th the 47th.

I watched the Ken Burns movie ‘The U.S. and the Holocaust’ last night. It was horrifying to be reminded of the atrocities of the Third Reich. It was also horrifying to revisit a time that is so eerily similar to Trump 2 & the republicans - so many aspects seem right out of Mein Kampf. God help us.

I wonder whether the speaker’s moral outrage today about the Senate’s bill to pay the unpaid DHS employees feigned or real? Was it a layup for the boss (not known for his bonhomie) to save the day with an EO? hmm…

After Markwayne’s equivocation today about sending ICE to the polls in Nov. and Sen. Warner’s hair-on-fire re same, maybe we should have a ballot- redundancy plan- not onsite at the polls but electronic ballot copies on separate servers not reachable by the feds (or something of that ilk)…

Trump keeps loosening sanctions on Putin and making excuses for his buddy in the Kremlin for his material support for Iran’s defense against us. This begs the question: what does Putin have on Trump? Is it related to Epstein’s work for the Kremlin (or just Epstein’s better known “work”)?

After listening to Hegseth’s and Trump’s statements about the war today, one wonders when the video game “Epic Fury” will be released. (Yet another opportunity for grift, no?)

Two things- 1. It’s surprising that mobile phones may be the ‘weapon’ that saves democracy in the U.S.; 2. While I agree that Noem and Bondi should be impeached- but Hegseth and Patel need to go as well (it feels sexist to leave them out). Also how do we get rid of Miller (the embodiment of evil).

With her blackmail letter to Gov. Walz, Pam Bondi again has shown herself to be a cretinous sycophant for Trump -hmmm...first lying under oath to Congress and now this nasty blackmail business - these crimes will not only cost her her law license but also may buy her some orange coveralls.

Adelita Grijalva was on Nicolle Wallace’s show today and she said that one thing that has surprised her since she her swearing in is ‘how easily people lie’ - I believe she said this while speaking of the Speaker (she has a fair for understatement, no?)

AND no one could ever accuse “Pam” of having a scintilla of grace - but she’s still getting a paycheck even though countless other federal employees are waiting in line at the food pantry.

Pam Bondi is a disgrace to all lawyers- not to mention a disgrace to anyone who ever took an oath to uphold the law and the Constitution. (I am way too disgusted to come up with something clever to say about her vile performance today.)

When this nightmare is over I think that that the Kavanaugh moiety of the Supreme court should be tried for their knowing violations of the Civil Rights Act AND they personally should make reparations to the people impacted.

I listened to an interview of Sen. Dusty Johnson (R. N. Dak.) today by Chris Jansing. The Senator answered real questions about the shutdown by repeating several times that shutdowns are “stupid,” reminding me of my sullen 10 year old reacting to enforcement of “stupid” family rules.

Why hasn’t Bove been disbarred? He’s the corrupt to the core and unfit to be a lawyer, let alone a judge on the 3rd Circuit. It isn’t too late, is it? As a lawyer who always stood by my oath, I am beyond disgusted.

Poor addled Chucky Grassley - for Trump, you debased yourself & betrayed your constituents, the Constitution you swore an oath to and the rule of law & made sure the most unfit Bove was confirmed, only to receive insults from the boss- & your feelings are hurt????? You are unfit.

‘We’re at war with Iran’s nuclear program, not Iran.’ No Iranian boots on the ground in Israel - would anyone say they’re not at war? Pearl Harbor? How stupid do Trump et al. think we are? Constitutional busting bombs…

If the BBB passes and if Medicare gets cut as a result, we should all seek redress from the Congressional Republicans for STEALING a benefit that we (working stiffs) & our employers PAID for via FICA…

The Supremes have done it again- making me wonder what Leonard Leo has promised the so-called conservatives in exchange for their anti-American decisions. Really? Big Balls et al need access to all our sensitive info? Robert’s has lost all credibility.
